This SkillBridge opportunity is with Raytheon.

RTX is a provider of SkillBridge Fellowship opportunities for transitioning service members to gain an in-depth understanding of the aerospace and defense business from some of the most respected leaders and engineers in the industry. SkillBridge fellows will not be eligible for any compensation during their fellowship, as they will continue to receive all military pay and benefits. Upon successful completion of this fellowship, you will be well prepared and encouraged to apply for open positions listed on our careers page.

To be eligible for a SkillBridge, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be on Active-Duty orders in the U.S. Armed Forces
  • Must be eligible to participate per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
  • Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
  • Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.

What you will do

Training & mentorship opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • Willingness to work with explosive items
  • Material validation utilizing shipping documents, Bill of Lading, Prism generated transfer orders, packing slips, delivery travelers
  • Perform systematic transactions within SAP/PRISM
  • Understand data analysis specific to metrics based on the receipt and movement of material
  • Prepare explosive and non-explosive material for demilitarization, disposal, and shipment compliant with governing regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Exercise physical security and explosive safety risk mitigation measures
  • Provide timely and proper Ammunition, Arms, and Explosive’s logistics services which include receipt, transport, storage, and inventory accountability
  • Work autonomously with limited oversight
  • Maintain accurate inventory both physically and systemically
  • Solve problems pertaining to inventory by considering multiple variables, available data, system research, work areas, and material flow
  • Follow detailed work instructions and detailed processes to ensure safety and compliance
  • Manage small projects or process improvements
  • Use and maintain Microsoft products such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must be eligible to participate in DoW SkillBridge
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
  • US Citizen - Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Ability to work well with others, communicate clearly, and solve problems
  • Knowledge of material movement into and out of a production focused facility
  • Ability to analyze data to understand discrepancies in a process
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize to achieve customer’s objectives
  • Ability to understand and follow documented policies
