About the Role

We are seeking a highly meticulous and proactive Warehouse Audit & Inventory Control Lead to join our Internal Control team at Gatimo Ltd, the parent company of Ruff ‘n’ Tumble.

In this role, you will lead internal warehouse audits, enforce process compliance, and support data integrity across all warehouse operations. You will also collaborate with key departments to ensure inventory accuracy, reduce discrepancies, and implement best practices in inventory management. This role is critical in shaping operational reliability as we scale nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

Audit & Inventory Compliance

  • Conduct routine audits across all warehouse and distribution locations.
  • Verify inbound and outbound merchandise against system entries and physical stock.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in warehouse transactions, ensuring transparent audit trails.
  • Monitor unresolved allocations and mis-tagged inventory in the ERP system.
  • Perform periodic inventory snap checks and report exceptions promptly.

System Oversight & Risk Monitoring

  • Track and report warehouse transactions in Odoo (ERP) and highlight fraud or misuse patterns in collaboration with IT.
  • Maintain audit documentation and internal control records for regulatory and audit readiness.

Reporting & Controls

  • Deliver weekly and monthly audit reports with key findings, actions, and follow-ups.
  • Track tagging, merchandise handling, damage trends, and warehouse shrinkage metrics.
  • Participate in risk review meetings and support warehouse process improvement efforts.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

  • HND/BSc in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in warehouse audit, inventory control, or logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Understanding of internal controls, inventory reconciliation, and audit standards.

Nice to Have (but not required)

  • Certifications in internal audit, inventory control, or supply chain (e.g., CIA, CICS, CPIM).

Soft Skills & Attributes

  • You are analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoy solving process gaps.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and hold others accountable respectfully.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working with minimal supervision.

Performance Expectations (First 6 Months)

  • Improve inventory reporting accuracy by identifying and resolving systemic gaps.
  • Support reduction in warehouse discrepancies by implementing control checklists and follow-up mechanisms.
  • Develop a real-time audit tracking log for all warehouse activities.
