Key Responsibilities

Financial Insight & Business Partnering

  • Partner with colleagues across the business to provide financial insight that supports effective decision-making.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to translate financial results into practical operational and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting for designated areas, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and business plans.

Management Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare and present accurate monthly management accounts within agreed deadlines, with clear commentary on trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Investigate errors, anomalies, and trends, providing meaningful analysis and practical solutions.
  • Support the production of clear, high-quality monthly reporting and ad hoc analysis for leadership review.

Financial Control & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls.
  • Support process improvement initiatives across finance and the wider business.
  • Contribute to the annual audit by preparing schedules and supporting evidence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
  • Strong management accounting experience and sound commercial awareness.
  • Experience of budgeting and forecasting, ideally with exposure to business partnering. Core Competencies:
  • Confident communicator with strong analytical skills and the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong systems knowledge, including Microsoft Office and, ideally, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar platform.
  • Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to continuous improvement and adding value beyond the numbers.
