The posting

Job Description:

The CIP Enrollment Specialist and Subcontractor Insurance Coordinator administers the insurance compliance process for all trade contractors. This role is responsible for collecting, reviewing, and verifying Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and policy endorsements for non-CIP contractors, as well as managing subcontractor onboarding and enrollment in Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP/CCIP). As a key member of the Risk Management team, this specialist ensures that all subcontractors meet contractual insurance requirements prior to mobilization and throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

CIP (OCIP / CCIP) Enrollment & Coordination

  • Guide trade subcontractors through the CIP enrollment workflow, from contract award to site mobilization.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and third-party Wrap-Up Administrators to ensure the timely submission of all required enrollment documents.
  • Verify subcontractor enrollment eligibility and collect required off-site coverage documentation (e.g., Auto, Workers' Comp).
  • Assist project teams with tracking monthly CIP payroll reporting, insurance credit calculations, and closeout documentation.

Non-CIP Insurance Verification & Compliance

  • Audit and evaluate incoming Certificates of Insurance (COIs), policy endorsements, and other coverage documents to ensure compliance with all contractual standards.
  • Validate critical coverage lines, limits, and endorsements for all non-enrolled trade partners.
  • Communicate with trade contractors and their insurance brokers to resolve any coverage deficiencies in a timely manner.

Systems Administration, Reporting & Auditing

  • Maintain up-to-date compliance and enrollment records using insurance tracking software and other company platforms.
  • Monitor policy expirations and manage the renewal request process.
  • Prepare regular compliance and enrollment status reports for project teams.
  • Partner with project teams to enforce and release compliance-related payment holds, ensuring no subcontractor mobilizes on-site without confirmed insurance compliance.
  • Support internal and carrier risk audits by maintaining organized digital repositories of all compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate progressive experience and have a combination of a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration or a closely related field coupled with 2+ years experience or an Associate degree in Risk Management or Business Administration paired with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Equivalent military experience will be considered toward the required years of experience.

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience in construction insurance compliance, commercial insurance certificate review, or contract administration.
  • Working knowledge of ACORD forms, standard ISO CGL policy endorsements, and general construction insurance concepts.
  • Proficiency with COI tracking tools (e.g., myCOI, Jones, Procore) and productivity software, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize tasks across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, and external insurance partners.

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Direct experience administering OCIP/CCIP programs. Familiarity with CIP administration platforms (e.g., WrapX, CRMS). Professional certification such as CRIS, ARM, or CISR. Professional background with a general contractor, trade contractor, or commercial insurance brokerage.

Work Environment & Schedule:

This is a full-time position primarily based in a professional office environment. The position follows a hybrid schedule requiring on-site, in-office collaboration four (4) days per week, with the option for one (1) remote workday. Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this role.

Travel Requirements:

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
