Healthcare Clinic Based Therapist

Ryther is a recognized leader in behavioral health services for children, youth, young adults and their families facing complex challenges. We guide, coach and teach so that every child/youth and family we work with may experience new ways of thinking, develop positive relationships, and realize a better life.

Ryther is in search of two qualified and experienced therapists to join our expanding team of multi-disciplinary professionals! The positions are located in Richmond Pediatrics and the University Place Pediatric Clinic where you will coordinate with a team of doctors and case managers to bring short term mental health services to under served youth. Experience with multi system collaboration is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with clinic teams to provide short term behavioral health services to clients and families. This includes engagement, therapy (skills based and problem solving), and prevention plans for future behavioral health concerns. Treatment may be provided in-person (in the clinic setting) or via telehealth. Some visits will require use of an interpreter.
  • Work effectively with a diverse, low-income, medically and socially complex patient population.
  • Discuss goals of treatment and expected time commitment as well as participation by guardian and/or client.
  • Use validated scored metrics to monitor baseline of symptoms and progression with therapy.

Essential Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
  • Registered Counselor with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH). Full licensure or Associate license in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy is appropriate.
