The posting

Als Technical Sales Engineer verkoop je geen afzonderlijke toestellen of standaardoplossingen, maar volledige technische installaties voor grote industriële projecten. Denk aan elektriciteit, verwarming, sanitair, ventilatie, klimaatbeheersing en beveiligingssystemen. Van stopcontacten tot meters kabels en leidingen: het totaalplaatje staat centraal.

Je hoeft die installaties niet zelf technisch uit te werken. Jouw sterkte ligt in het begrijpen van de behoeften van klanten en het vertalen daarvan naar een overtuigend voorstel.

  • Klantenbehoeften detecteren: je gaat in gesprek met klanten en brengt hun technische noden en verwachtingen helder in kaart.
  • Technische oplossingen uitwerken: samen met de huidige technical sales engineer, die je de kneepjes van het vak leert, en de collega's van de binnendienst en de werf vertaal je de klantvraag naar een concrete installatie. Naar mate het verkooptraject vordert, kan je ook de nodige details uitwerken om een passend budget af te leveren.
  • Offertes voorstellen: met een sterk technisch onderbouwd plan en een overtuigende offerte trek je naar de klant.
  • Deals sluiten: je overtuigt klanten van de meerwaarde en onderhandelt tot de samenwerking rond is.
  • Projectrelaties onderhouden: ook na het ondertekenen van de offerte blijf je het vaste aanspreekpunt en het gezicht van het project.
  • Rapportage: Je rapporteert rechtstreeks aan de Business Unit Manager.

Je combineert dus commerciële slagkracht met technisch inzicht. Daarbij kan je rekenen op de expertise van ervaren collega's voor de technische uitwerking, zodat jij je kunt focussen op de klant en het commerciële traject.

  • Je beschikt over een diploma Elektromechanica, Elektronica of Bouwkunde.
  • Je kan op minstens 10 jaar ervaring binnen technical sales of project engineering rekenen.
  • Je hebt interesse in technische totaaloplossingen voor B2B en combineert dit met een commerciële flair, klantgerichtheid en goede communicatie skills.
  • Goede kennis Nederlands en Frans.
  • Collega's zouden jou omschrijven als hartelijk, open, gedreven en betrouwbaar.
  • Je bent leergierig en wil je kennis van nieuwe ontwikkelingen en toepassingen in de industriële energiewereld steeds bijschaven.
