The posting

Sabanto is a venture-backed technology company on a mission to bring autonomy into agriculture.

We believe the agriculture industry’s lack of labor will drive the adoption of autonomous equipment. It’s this very spirit that drives us to build a robotic machinery platform, delivering a system that brings unprecedented efficiency, productivity, and cost savings to farmers. Join our fast-growing, industrious, and passionate team of innovators as we continue to disrupt the multi-billion-dollar agriculture industry.

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to be on the forefront of defining, prototyping and implementing software experiences that increase the productivity and safety of vehicle automation within the agricultural industry. Specifically, this role will be focused on Sabanto’s Vehicle Mission Control (vMC) products, which consists of a React application and a React Native application.

Responsibilities and Outcomes

  • Deliver User-Centric Designs: Take ownership of the end-to-end design process for Sabanto’s Vehicle Mission Control (vMC) products, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience for both the React web application and React Native mobile application.
  • Draw, Illustrate & Be Creative: Develop custom icons, graphics, and illustrations that convey a high level of thoughtfulness and professionalism for customers using Sabanto Steward™.

Collaborate on the overall product vision, ensuring design aligns with business objectives and user needs.
  • Prototype & Test with Customers: Create interactive prototypes within Figma to validate design concepts for both web and mobile applications. Conduct usability testing to gather feedback and insights for iterative design improvements.
  • Communicate & Document: Effectively communicate design concepts and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide clear and concise design documentation. Collaborate with the broader design team to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Conduct Heuristic Evaluations & Audits: Perform regular heuristic evaluations and friction logs of Vehicle Mission Control (vMC) to identify points of friction and confusion in an effort to reduce the cognitive load during the customer’s experience.
  • Own the Sabanto Design System: Own the design system that will help enforce Sabanto Design System standards and guide our product and engineering teams using Figma and Storybook. Conduct regular visual design quality assurance of the Sabanto Design System using Chromatic to ensure consistency and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a focus on web and mobile applications.
  • Agricultural Familiarity: Familiarity with the agriculture industry or a keen interest in agricultural technologies is preferred. Experience working on projects related to precision agriculture or autonomous machinery is a significant advantage.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to create designs that are technically feasible and aligned with development capabilities. Ability to understand and work within the technical constraints of web development.
  • Agile Design Processes: Understands agile methodologies and iterative design processes. Work collaboratively in sprints to deliver high-quality designs that meet project timelines and objectives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate and document design decisions clearly and concisely. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
