The posting

Why join us?

Mitti by SafetyCulture is a global tech company, just not the kind you're picturing. Our almost 1,000-person team builds tools that make work better for the three billion frontline workers who keep the world moving. We've got big tech scale, without the sign-off layers or corporate theatre. Every permanent team member gets equity, so when we grow, you do too. This next chapter is about scaling smart, powered by AI, a clear vision and real ownership.

Big tech impact, without the big tech ick.

The Role

This role exists at the intersection of infrastructure and security. You'll be a versatile engineer who thinks across the whole stack — AWS, networking, client-server, mobile, and web — and who's genuinely curious about how all the pieces fit together and where they can break.

We're not looking for someone who's spent their whole career narrowly specialised in one cloud service. We're looking for a problem solver with real infrastructure depth and a tenacious, detail-oriented streak — someone who pulls a thread until it's fully unravelled, rather than stopping at the first plausible answer. If that curiosity has started pulling you toward security, or you're already partway down that path and want to go deeper, this role is built for you.

You'll partner closely with our platform, software, and data engineering teams, embedding security into everyday infrastructure and development work rather than bolting it on afterward. Over time, you'll become the person engineers come to when something needs to be built right the first time, not just fixed later.

How you will spend your time

- Work across our AWS environment and the broader infrastructure stack — identifying and correcting misconfigurations, hardening systems, and improving how we build and deploy

- Embed security practices into CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and infrastructure-as-code

- Get hands-on with our Kubernetes environment (our whole platform runs on it) and our CrowdStrike CSPM setup

- Investigate issues end-to-end — not just flagging problems, but digging in and fixing them yourself

- Partner with engineering teams across the business, influencing design and implementation decisions without relying on formal authority

- Build automation to reduce manual, repetitive security and infrastructure work, including using AI tools where they genuinely speed things up

- Grow into owning broader security initiatives as your experience and interest develop, with mentorship from our Head of Security and the platform team

About you

- Strong infrastructure engineering background across AWS and ideally beyond (networking, client-server, mobile, or web architecture) — you've worked across a genuinely broad stack, not just one narrow specialty

- Naturally curious and tenacious — when something looks slightly off, you keep digging until you understand why, rather than accepting the first explanation

- A genuine interest in security, whether that's a growing focus already or a direction you're actively moving toward — you don't need to be a certified security specialist already, but the drive and curiosity need to be real

- Comfortable operating autonomously, owning problems end-to-end rather than working purely off tickets or playbooks

- Strong communicator who can work cross-functionally and influence engineers without formal authority

- Coding experience in Python, Go, or similar, with working knowledge of Terraform and CI/CD practices

Nice to have

- Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike or other CSPM tooling

- Experience securing corporate IT systems such as Okta, GSuite, Kandji, or Intune

- Kubernetes exposure (even at a foundational level — our whole platform runs on it)

- System administration or network engineering background

Success looks like

- You've become a trusted voice across engineering teams on infrastructure and security, someone teams want to loop in early rather than avoid

- You've meaningfully hardened and automated parts of our AWS and Kubernetes environment

- Your security knowledge and ownership has visibly grown since you started, supported by the team around you

- You've helped reduce manual security toil through automation, including AI-assisted tooling where appropriate

More than a job

- Equity with high growth potential, and a competitive salary

- Flexible working arrangements

- Access to professional and personal training and development opportunities

- Hackathons, Workshops, Lunch & Learns

Office benefits

- In-house Culinary Crew serving up daily breakfast, lunch and snacks

- Barista coffee machine, craft beer on tap, boutique wines and a range of non-alcoholic beverages

- Wellbeing initiatives such as EAP services and generous parental leave policy

- Quarterly celebrations and team events

- On-site gym, table tennis, board games, books library, and pet-friendly offices

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
