About Our Family

We are a warm, active, and light-hearted household based primarily in San Francisco, with a secondary property in Napa. Life in our home is full in the best way — packed calendars, outdoor adventures, weekend outings, and a love for good food and great company. We are not a heavy or rigid household; we lead with laughter and a genuine love for what we do.

We are parents who are hands-on and intentional, approaching family life with a balanced, mindful philosophy. We believe in gentle boundaries, playfulness, and connection. Our home is organized and we care deeply about how things are done, and we are looking for someone who shares that same attention and pride in their work.

We travel frequently and entertain regularly, especially at our Napa property during the warmer months. With two young children transitioning into full-time school this fall, and a mom in the process of launching a new business venture, we are at a pivotal and exciting moment and we need the right person by our side to help carry the load with us.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate for this role is warm, confident, and genuinely enjoys being part of a household that moves quickly with high expectations. You are someone who walks into a space and immediately sees what needs to happen next — without being asked. You take ownership of your work, manage yourself with maturity and professionalism, and communicate directly, clearly, and kindly, keeping the family informed and aligned as priorities shift.

You're adaptable, collaborative, and you bring a solution oriented mindset to everything you do. You have patience and a calm presence that naturally helps create breathing room, especially for a parent who wants to let go but needs to trust first. You understand that building that trust takes consistency, follow-through, and a genuine partnership mindset. Clear communication is essential; you are comfortable asking thoughtful questions, providing updates, and working collaboratively with the family on special projects, home initiatives, events, and evolving household needs. You have excellent judgment and discretion. You're warm and personable, but you also know when to blend into the background and let family moments unfold naturally.

You are equally comfortable doing hands-on household tasks, supporting young children, and heading to a second property to set up systems or prep for a gathering. Experience with toddlers is important, as backup childcare support will occasionally be needed. Above all, you show up with a positive attitude, a great sense of humor, and the quiet confidence of someone who knows exactly what they are doing.

Key Qualities

  • Highly proactive and intuitive, naturally anticipating needs of a private family home environment and taking initiative without waiting for direction.
  • Exceptional communicator who keeps the family informed, asks thoughtful questions, and collaborates with professionalism and kindness.
  • Experienced with young children, providing warm, confident backup childcare while supporting family routines with patience and care.
  • Organized systems thinker with the ability to create, maintain, and continuously improve household processes that keep everything running smoothly.
  • Adaptable and solutions-oriented, able to pivot with changing priorities while remaining calm, resourceful, and positive.
  • Trustworthy and dependable, following through on commitments, maintaining discretion, and building long-term trust through consistency.
  • Confident balancing hands-on household work with administrative responsibilities, equally comfortable tackling daily tasks, coordinating vendors, and managing special projects.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
