About Our Family

We’re a close-knit, active family with two wonderful kids in middle and high school and one very loved cat. Our days are full with school, activities, work, and family life, and we value having a home that feels calm, comfortable, and welcoming. We love spending time together, and we’re looking for someone who can help bring a little more ease and breathing room to our everyday routine.

We’re hoping to find a dependable, proactive person who can become a trusted partner in the day-to-day rhythm of our home. With the right support, we’re able to give our best at work and, most importantly, be fully present with our kids at the end of the day. We’d love someone who takes the time to get to know our family, notices the little things, and feels comfortable taking ownership without always needing to be asked. That might look like making sure the car is ready for a busy weekend, checking in on what the kids would actually be excited to eat for dinner, or noticing we’re running low on a favorite pantry staple before we do.

This could be a wonderful fit for someone who genuinely enjoys creating order, comfort, and ease for a family. If a beautifully organized drawer, a well-stocked bathroom, or a meal plan the kids are actually excited about brings you joy, you’ll probably feel right at home with us. More than anything, we’re excited to welcome someone who can become a trusted part of our household, bring their own ideas and strengths to the role, and help create a little more space for our family to enjoy the things that matter most.

Who You Are

  • Take confident ownership of the household rhythm, learning the family’s routines and helping each day flow with ease.
  • Stay one step ahead of schedule changes, supply needs, meal planning, and upcoming priorities, adjusting thoughtfully as the week unfolds.
  • Communicate warmly, clearly, and promptly with parents and children so everyone feels informed and supported.
  • Build genuine, trusting relationships with teenagers by connecting naturally, respecting their independence, and meeting them where they are.
  • Enjoy bringing order to the home and creating thoughtful systems that are practical, intuitive, and easy for the whole family to maintain.
  • Bring a calm, flexible, and solution-minded approach as plans and priorities evolve.
  • Make safe, attentive, and responsible driving a consistent priority.
  • Approach the role with maturity, sound judgment, discretion, and a sincere desire to help the family thrive.
  • Learn and honor the family’s preferences while contributing ideas with openness, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Notice where support would be helpful and take thoughtful initiative, carrying details through with care and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Family Support

  • School pickups and drop-offs, including after-school activity transportation
  • Prep backpacks, activity bags, cleats, water bottles, and activity clothing
  • Prepare daily school lunches and after-school snacks
  • Light homework support (a bonus, not a requirement)
  • Kid-related errands as needed

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Daily tidying: make kids' beds, empty wastebaskets, wipe surfaces, maintain tidy common areas
  • Bathroom inventory: keep toilet paper, paper towels, and soap stocked throughout the home
  • Laundry room and garage entry upkeep: shoes, sweeping, general organization
  • Take out kitchen trash and recycling daily
  • Coordinate quarterly donation runs (Goodwill or similar)
  • Seasonal clothing, décor, and bedding swaps
  • Replace light bulbs, batteries, and smoke detector batteries as needed
  • Holiday and event support: Christmas tree setup, gift wrapping, occasional entertaining prep (ad hoc)

Inventory & Errands

  • Maintain pantry, fridge, and household supply inventory — proactively reorder before things run out
  • Manage household Amazon orders and subscriptions; anticipate needs and place orders independently
  • Handle mail retrieval, package intake, unboxing, and return coordination (UPS, etc.)
  • Pharmacy pickups for family and pet medications
  • Dry cleaning drop-off and pickup, and general household errands

Meal Support

  • Plan and prepare approximately 4 dinners per week (Monday–Thursday) with enough for leftovers
  • Engage with the kids proactively to plan the weekly menu ahead of time
  • Prep school lunches daily and maintain healthy snacks (washed and cut fruits and vegetables)
  • Handle grocery shopping — in-person or curbside, depending on what works best
  • Kitchen cleanup and maintenance after cooking and after kids' dinner
  • If cooking is not a strength, willingness to coordinate with a supplemental cook while owning the meal planning and grocery management

Laundry & Linens

  • Wash, fold, and organize laundry for the entire family
  • Linen rotation: towels and bedding
  • Ironing and special garment care on an ad hoc basis
  • Maintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry area

Pet Care

  • Fresh water and dry food (morning and evening) for the family cat
  • One litter box clean per day
  • Maintain pet supply inventory; pick up medications from the pharmacy
  • Medication administration is a nice-to-have (not required)

Vehicle Upkeep

  • Keep the family vehicle fueled, especially heading into weekends
  • Remove trash and keep the vehicle tidy
  • Schedule maintenance appointments and take the vehicle in as needed

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

  • Occasional deep cleans: refrigerator, pantry, oven, and baseboards
  • Quarterly air filter replacement
  • Organizational projects as needed: kids' drawers, closets, storage areas
  • Seasonal outdoor prep: porch and deck tidying, storm prep (bringing in cushions and furniture)

Vendor & Property Oversight

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
