About Our Family

We're a dynamic, active family of four that recently relocated to Seattle and are settling into a new home and new routines. Both parents work demanding professional schedules, dad works from home—mom likes to kick off her mornings with an early workout class before work without feeling rushed—and our two young children are in full-time preschool. Life moves fast in our household, and we're looking for someone who can help us run a smoother, more intentional home

We're the kind of family that wants weekends back. Not for tackling laundry or resetting the pantry, but for spending time together—whether that's visiting the local playground or spending the morning at the zoo. Evenings matter to us just as much, and having support that allows us to squeeze in a regular date night while keeping our home feeling calm and reset makes all the difference. We want to come home to a space that feels calm and ready, not one that needs to be managed before we can relax.

Our home is warm and family-centered. The kids bring a lot of energy, and we love that about them. We're organized people who appreciate systems, and we're looking for someone who shares that mindset and can help us build and maintain them as we get settled in a new place.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what needs to happen next. You walk into a home, read the room, and get to work. You anticipate needs before they become problems, whether that's noticing the backpack isn't packed, the fridge needs a refresh, or the kids' outgrown clothes need to be sorted. You're high energy with children and a calming, steady presence in the household overall. You bring proven experience with young children and feel completely comfortable helping get the kids ready for school in the morning and partnering with mom to keep daily routines running smoothly.

You thrive with systems and routines, and you enjoy building them as much as maintaining them. Reliability and punctuality are non-negotiable for you, not because you were told they matter, but because that's simply how you operate. You're warm, capable, and genuinely enjoy contributing to a household that runs well. You take pride in the details, communicate proactively, and are equally comfortable folding laundry, prepping dinner, and making a child feel comfortable in your care.

Key Qualities

  • Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Comfortable assisting with childcare and getting the kids ready for school in the morning to keep daily routines effortless and support mom during busy start-of-day transitions
  • Systems-Minded & Highly Organized. A natural organizer who thrives on creating structure, maintaining order, and continuously improving daily household routines and workflows to keep a busy home running seamlessly.
  • Proactive and resourceful; anticipates needs and solves problems independently
  • Excellent communicator who is professional, direct, and responsive
  • Calm, steady, and a resourceful problem solver
  • Able to quickly learn the family's routines, prioritize independently, and adapt as daily needs evolve
  • Values professionalism, healthy boundaries, and supporting a private family with integrity and discretion
  • Experience and confident in the kitchen with basic meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, following recipes, and preparing healthy family meals

Key Responsibilities:

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Create and maintain household organization systems
  • Perform daily resets to keep common areas tidy and functional
  • Manage light tidying throughout the week: dishes, surfaces, high-traffic floor areas
  • Coordinate seasonal clothing swaps, including sorting outgrown items for donation or hand-me-downs
  • Assist with event, holiday, and guest prep
  • Help organize and pack children bags for family travel
  • Handle routine home maintenance tasks such as replacing batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detector checks
  • Refresh and maintain the entryway, which sees heavy daily use

Laundry & Linens

  • Wash, fold, and put away laundry on a regular schedule
  • Rotate towels twice per week
  • Put fresh sheets out for the housekeeping service; make beds daily
  • Handle occasional steaming or special garment care as needed
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked

Meal Support

  • Plan three dinners per week with a focus on healthy, lighter cooking, with leftovers in mind
  • Select recipes from family-preferred sources and manage the associated shopping
  • Handle grocery shopping and pantry, fridge restocking
  • Complete meal prep work (chopping, marinating, organizing) so dinner can be assembled quickly in the evenings
  • Prep school lunches for both children
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the week

Family Support

  • Prep backpacks, clothing, snacks, and water bottles each morning
  • Assist with back-up childcare and occasional light supervision as needed
  • Handle kid-related errands (school supply requests, birthday gifts, etc.)
  • Provide occasional evening coverage for date nights
  • Assist with school pick-up or drop-off when needed

Inventory & Errands

  • Manage running household supply lists and anticipate restocking needs
  • Oversee household orders and subscriptions (Amazon, Costco, Target)
  • Handle returns, dry cleaning drop-off and pickup, and gift shopping
  • Manage mail and packages; break down and discard boxes
  • Track school-specific requests and ensure items are on hand

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

  • Create punch lists for the weekly housekeeping service and follow up to ensure completion
  • Regularly clear out the fridge and pantry of expired or unused items
  • Periodically deep clean appliances and household items (humidifiers, air purifiers, vacuum maintenance)
  • Assist with organizational projects, particularly in the children's areas

Administrative Support

  • Help manage the family calendar as they settle into Seattle routines
  • Coordinate appointments and scheduling for children's activities, camps, and medical visits

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
