About Our Family

We are a warm, down-to-earth family of four with two school-age children, two lovable large dogs, and a beautiful four-acre property that we truly love calling home. Life is full in all the best ways—sports practices, school events, family activities, and the everyday rhythms of raising young children. One parent works from home while managing two businesses, and the other travels frequently for work, creating a dynamic household that is busy, active, and always moving.

After years of managing everything ourselves, we've realized that what we value most isn't perfection—it's having the right support so we can spend more time focused on our family and less time juggling household logistics. We are excited to welcome someone into our home who enjoys creating order, bringing calm to busy days, and making a meaningful impact behind the scenes. This is not a role where you'll be walking into chaos; we have established routines, trusted vendors, and a family that genuinely appreciates and respects the people who help make our lives run smoothly.

The areas where we'd love the most support are meal preparation, household organization, and vendor coordination. We are working to prioritize healthier eating as a family and would love someone who enjoys food, meal planning, and helping us sit down to home-cooked meals more often. We also appreciate a tidy, well-maintained home and would love a partner who takes pride in creating spaces that feel welcoming and organized. Living on four acres means there is always a project, appointment, or vendor visit happening, and having someone help manage those moving pieces would be invaluable.

We're looking for more than someone to complete tasks—we're looking for a trusted partner. We deeply value professionalism, communication, initiative, and long-term relationships. The right person will be appreciated, trusted, and given the autonomy to truly make this role their own. If you enjoy creating order, supporting a busy family, and being part of a household where your contributions are genuinely valued, we believe this could be a very special opportunity.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

  • Highly proactive and self-directed — You naturally identify what needs to be done and take ownership without requiring constant direction or follow-up.
  • Organized and systems-oriented — You enjoy creating order, maintaining routines, and developing systems that help a busy household run more efficiently.
  • Passionate about food and wellness — You enjoy meal planning, grocery shopping, and preparing healthy, family-friendly meals that make daily life easier.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of pride — You find satisfaction in a tidy home, a well-stocked refrigerator, and knowing the small details have been thoughtfully handled.
  • Strong household coordinator — You are comfortable managing vendors, appointments, schedules, and ongoing household projects while keeping everyone informed.
  • Professional yet personable — You are warm, approachable, and kind with children and pets, while also understanding how to be a respectful and professional presence in a private home.
  • Adaptable and resourceful — You thrive in an environment where priorities shift, new projects arise, and no two weeks look exactly the same.
  • Trustworthy and discreet — You operate with integrity, respect confidentiality, and understand the importance of privacy within a family home.
  • Excellent communicator — You provide updates proactively, follow through on commitments, and help create a sense of calm and confidence for the family.
  • Long-term minded — You're looking to become a valued, trusted part of a household and are excited about building a lasting relationship with a family.

Key Responsibilities

Meal Planning & Prep

  • Own weekly meal planning for approximately four dinners per week, developed in collaboration with the family
  • Develop a predictable weekly meal rotation (i.e. thematic structure) to support a child with food preferences and reduce decision fatigue
  • Grocery shopping via delivery, pickup, or in-store; consistent pantry and fridge restocking and cleanout
  • Ingredient prep: chopping, peeling, portioning, marinating proteins, and ensuring all components are ready for the family to cook dinner
  • Batch cooking for breakfasts and snacks a few times per week
  • Kitchen cleanup and maintenance; keeping the kitchen in a state where cooking is easy and inviting

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Daily resets: dishes, surfaces, light tidying, and vacuuming of high-traffic areas
  • Prep home for bi-weekly housekeeping visits
  • Create and maintain organizational systems throughout the home (children's rooms, laundry area, closets)
  • Seasonal clothing swaps, holiday decoration setup and takedown (including post-holiday Christmas pack-up), and children's clothing organization
  • Routine home upkeep: replacing batteries, light bulbs, air filters, and smoke detectors
  • Packing and unpacking for family travel, including children's bags and gear

Vendor & Property Oversight

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all home vendors and contractors; coordinate access, oversee work, and report back to the family
  • Research vendors, gather quotes, and present options for repairs and projects
  • Build and manage a yearly home maintenance calendar covering HVAC, security systems, pool, filters, and seasonal upkeep
  • Outdoor space management: patio resets, outdoor furniture care, cushion cleaning, and keeping shared outdoor areas tidy and functional
  • Remote administrative support for secondary properties (vendor coordination, annual tax paperwork, basic property admin)
  • Full access to and management of the shared family calendar, including inputting sports schedules, activities, and appointments
  • Appointment scheduling: medical, dental, personal care, and other recurring family needs

Inventory & Errands

  • Maintain and execute running household supply lists; manage subscriptions and recurring orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
  • Handle returns, dry cleaning drop-off and pickup, Home Depot runs, post office, and pharmacy errands
  • Mail and package intake, box breakdown, and recycling

Laundry & Linens

  • Full ownership of children's laundry and one parent’s laundry: wash, fold, and organize
  • Weekly rotation of linens and towels
  • Ironing, steaming, and special garment care as needed
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked

Family Support

  • Occasional school and activity pickup and drop-off (approximately once per week or as scheduling conflicts arise)
  • Prepare children's bags for school, sports, and activities; confirm uniforms and gear are ready ahead of events
  • Review the upcoming weekly calendar to anticipate scheduling needs
  • Backup date night coverage as needed

Pet Care

  • Comfortable working alongside two large dogs daily
  • Restock monthly pet food delivery and refill containers
  • Pet sitting during family travel (adds meaningful value to the role)

Vehicle Management

  • Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance, oil changes, and service appointments; bring vehicles in as needed
  • Regular fueling, cleaning, and organizing of family vehicles

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

  • Occasional deep cleans of appliances (fridge, oven, air purifiers)
  • Manage larger organizational projects by sourcing, hiring, and overseeing the right contractors (garage buildout, laundry room)
  • Ongoing special projects as the household evolves

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
