About Our Family

We’re a busy family of four living in Austin’s Crestview neighborhood with our two daughters, ages 7 and 9. Between a physician’s schedule, a growing tech company, school, activities, and frequent visits from extended family, life moves quickly around here. Our days are full, but we genuinely enjoy this season of life and are looking for someone who can help bring a sense of calm and consistency behind the scenes.

Our home is a place where family and friends naturally gather. We love spending time together, sharing meals, and creating a home that feels welcoming, organized, and well cared for. We also believe in raising capable, independent kids, so you'll often see our daughters helping with age-appropriate chores and learning life skills alongside us.

We already have biweekly house cleaners and a landscaper, so we're not looking for someone to replace those services. Instead, we're hoping to find someone who takes pride in creating order behind the scenes and enjoys keeping the day-to-day details of our home organized and well cared for.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are proactive, organized, and naturally take ownership of your work. You notice what needs to be done without waiting to be asked and enjoy creating systems that make everyday life run more smoothly. You manage your time well, think a few steps ahead, and take pride in finding practical solutions that lighten the mental load for a busy family. If you see a better way to organize a space, streamline a routine, or solve an ongoing challenge, you're confident enough to speak up and take initiative.

You'll spend much of your day working independently while one parent works from home, so you're comfortable making thoughtful decisions without needing constant direction. You're equally happy folding laundry, preparing ingredients for dinner, coordinating grocery orders, tackling an organizing project, or helping our daughters with a snack or getting them out the door for an activity. You understand that it's the small, everyday details that help a home feel calm, organized, and cared for.

Above all, you take pride in anticipating needs, following through, and becoming someone we can trust to help our household run smoothly every day.

Key Responsibilities

Laundry & Linens

  • Wash, fold, and put away laundry for family members and household linens
  • Remove, launder, and remake beds with fresh sheets on a rotating schedule
  • Iron, steam, and provide special care for garments as needed
  • Maintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry room
  • Involve the girls in age-appropriate laundry tasks to support independence

Family Support

  • Assist with school pickups on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and transportation to and from after-school activities
  • Support children in their after-school routines, empowering them to manage their chores and homework independently (follow-up on chore charts, ensure tasks are completed correctly, etc.)
  • If a parent is traveling for work, help with morning drop-offs as needed

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Create and maintain household organization systems that are functional, sustainable, and adaptable as the family's needs change across life stages
  • Reset and tidy daily (e.g., wipe surfaces, load and unload dishwasher, take out trash, vacuum high-traffic areas, and other general upkeep between cleaning visits)
  • Assist with seasonal clothing swaps and organization of children's clothing and gear as sizes change
  • Coordinate and prepare items for donation as needed
  • Manage proactive upkeep (e.g., change batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detector batteries as needed)
  • Care for indoor plants
  • Ensure outdoor and patio areas are clean and ready for use

Meal Support

  • Manage and maintain grocery ordering via Amazon Fresh or similar platform (family places the final order)
  • Wash, chop, and prepare fresh fruit and vegetables for easy grab-and-go snacks
  • Prepare 2-3 meals per week as the role and comfort level evolve
  • Occasionally prepare school lunches as a healthier alternative to school lunch
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness before and after all meal prep sessions

  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies as needed
  • Handle returns, dry cleaning, and gift shopping (e.g., teacher appreciation gifts)
  • Sort mail, bring in packages, and break down boxes

Administrative & Personal Assistant Support

  • Maintain visibility into the family's weekly schedule to stay one step ahead (family retains control of calendar management)
  • Assist with travel logistics for extended family as needed (e.g., booking flights)
  • Coordinate packing and unpacking for the kids' travel (2-4 times per year)

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
