About Our Family

We're a blended family settling into a beautiful new home in Potomac, MD. With two teenagers at home , a household that runs at a full, active pace, and two adults with busy professional lives and frequent travel, we're building something great here — and we need the right person to help us run it smoothly.

Our home is warm and welcoming, and we're looking for support that matches that energy. We value professionalism, trust, and someone who takes genuine pride in the spaces they care for. As we prepare for upcoming home renovations and settle into a new chapter, we want a partner who can grow with us — someone who brings fresh ideas, steady hands, and a calm, capable presence to our household.

There’s a mix of everyday responsibilities — laundry and wardrobe care, tidying, meal prep, errands, unpacking after travel, vendor coordination, and occasional pick-ups — as well as opportunities to help us create better systems and routines as we settle into our home.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You’re warm, dependable, and highly capable — the kind of person who can walk into our home, notice what needs attention, and comfortably jump in. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting things done, whether that means tackling a pile of laundry, prepping something for dinner, organizing a space, running an errand, or coordinating with a vendor.

You’re naturally independent and proactive, but you’re also a thoughtful communicator and understand the importance of learning our preferences and rhythms. Once you know how the household operates, you’re comfortable taking ownership and keeping things moving without needing a detailed task list each day.

You appreciate the details that make our home feel good — clothes cared for properly, spaces reset and organized, travel items unpacked and put away, and everyday tasks handled before they become another thing on the family’s list.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with a warm, professional, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude who genuinely enjoys supporting our household. We hope to find someone who will feel valued here, take pride in the role, and grow into a trusted, long-term part of our village.

Key Responsibilities

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Perform daily resets: light tidying, dishes, surfaces, and vacuuming high-traffic areas
  • Create and maintain household organization systems, with fresh ideas welcome as renovations reshape the home
  • Seasonal swaps: clothing, bedding, and holiday/seasonal decor transitions
  • Wardrobe management, including coordinating resale, donations, and seasonal clothing swaps
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
  • Maintain kids' common spaces, including ensuring gaming equipment is charged and returned to proper storage
  • Assist with packing and unpacking for travel; sort items for home laundry vs. dry cleaning after trips
  • Support event and hosting prep for occasional gatherings (approximately 3–4 times per year)
  • Indoor plant care (mix of weekly and monthly watering and feeding)
  • Replace batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detector batteries as needed

Laundry & Linen Care

  • Wash, fold, organize, and put away laundry for the full household
  • Identify and separate dry-clean-only items; transport to dry cleaner as needed
  • Rotate linens; change sheets and make beds regularly
  • Keep laundry areas tidy, organized, and well-stocked

Inventory & Errands

  • Maintain and update running household supply lists; monitor pantry, fridge, and daily staples
  • Collaborate with the family via AnyList app to flag low-stock items
  • Coordinate and/or receive Instacart, DoorDash, Amazon, and Costco orders; organize and put away deliveries
  • Handle mail and package management; break down boxes for recycling
  • Take trash and recycling to the curb on scheduled days
  • Dry cleaning drop-off and pickup

Meal Support

  • Prep-focused meal support: marinating proteins, washing and chopping produce, defrosting, and light prep 2–3 meals per week
  • Follow household dietary preferences (one vegetarian adult)
  • Collaborate with the family on grocery needs via AnyList; support Instacart order coordination
  • Keep the kitchen clean, tidy, and organized; maintain fridge and freezer organization

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects

  • Occasional deep cleans: fridge, oven, baseboards, and appliances
  • Refresh and organize entry areas, mudroom, and garage zones
  • Tackle organizational projects as they arise: pantry, closets, and gear storage
  • Humidifier and air purifier maintenance as needed

Vendor & Property Oversight

  • Research and coordinate contractors, repair vendors, and service providers; gather quotes as needed
  • Oversee and schedule visits from cleaners, landscapers, and contractors (especially during upcoming renovations)
  • Serve as point of contact for vendor visits in the home

Administrative & Personal Assistant Support

  • Travel planning support: assist with logistics, packing coordination, and post-travel unpacking
  • Event and appointment coordination
  • Calendar management for household schedules
  • Receipt and budget tracking

Family Support

  • Occasional backup school pickup for teenagers if needed

Vehicle Upkeep (as needed)

  • Schedule family vehicle maintenance; track registration

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
