The ideal candidate will have experience providing full lifecycle Federal proposal support, including content planning, template development, and writing and editing key sections (resumes, past performance, and narrative volumes) through submission. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with on-site work performed primarily in the Reston or Chantilly, Virginia offices. Candidates should be local to the Northern Virginia area.

  • Incorporate win strategies, themes, and discriminators into proposal artifacts
  • Develop templates and support content planning across the proposal lifecycle

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure content is accurate, error-free, and aligned to RFx requirements, company processes, capture strategies, and industry best practices
  • Conduct peer reviews of teammates’ work and incorporate feedback on your own work
  • Serve as a reviewer in formal color reviews, providing subject matter insight and expertise

Strategy Development & Collaboration

  • Participate in the earliest stages of capture strategy development, as needed
  • Collaborate with capture, technical, and subject matter experts to align content with win strategies and evaluator objectives
  • Apply analytical skills to improve process efficiency and proposal quality, including through the use of proprietary AI tools

Team Leadership & Mentoring

  • Coach and mentor less-experienced writers
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Proposal Development Center
  • Participate in training and development activities, including emerging technologies (AI), leadership development, and industry best practices

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree or higher (or equivalent) in Journalism, English, Business, Information Technology, Communication Arts, or a related field, and 10+ years of Federal proposal writing experience; 8+ years of experience with a Master’s degree; an additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
  • Experience providing full lifecycle Federal proposal support, from content planning, template development, and writing and editing key sections (resumes, past performance, and narrative volumes) through submission

  • Ability to successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to travel as necessary

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with FEDSIM/AAS, OTA, and Self-Scoring bids

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
