Essential Function:

The Field Marketing Operations Manager ensures the new store format has the signage, placement guidance, store communication, financial support/tracking, and operational resources needed to successfully execute marketing and merchandising initiatives after opening.

This role serves as a key operational partner connecting Field Marketing, Merchandising, the Planogram team, Store Operations, Creative, Finance, Procurement, Project Management, and external vendors. The Manager monitors ongoing signage needs, develops briefs and placement guides, coordinates communication related to POG and assortment changes, manages purchase orders and invoice processing, and establishes scalable processes to support the continued growth and sustainment of the new store format.

The role works closely with the Field Marketing and New Store Opening subject-matter experts while owning the operational processes that move initiatives from identified need through store execution.

Primary Duties:

35% | NEW STORE FORMAT - STORE MARKETING OPERATIONS & SUSTAINMENT

  • Own the day-to-day operational support model for the new store format store marketing after the initial store opening.
  • Monitor ongoing store signage needs, including new programs, assortment changes, replacements, refreshes, and store-specific execution needs.
  • Establish and maintain a scalable sustainment process as the new format store fleet grows.
  • Maintain visibility to active and upcoming initiatives that may affect the new format stores.
  • Assess operational requirements, dependencies, risks, and timing across concurrent initiatives.
  • Partner with subject-matter experts to transition stores from opening support into ongoing sustainment.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of new store opening (NSO) processes and standards, partnering with the NSO team to communicate sustainment-driven changes and inform updates to future store-opening kits and execution.
  • Coordinate with internal partners and vendors to ensure stores receive the correct materials and information at the appropriate time.
  • Identify gaps in store readiness and initiate the appropriate workstream before execution is at risk.
  • Maintain store marketing standards and reference materials for the new store format.
  • Support consistent execution across existing new stores while allowing for approved store-specific variations.

25% | PLACEMENT GUIDES, POG COMMUNICATION & STORE READINESS

  • Own the development, maintenance, and distribution of placement guides for new format store marketing and signage initiatives.
  • Translate marketing and merchandising decisions into clear, actionable store execution instructions.
  • Serve as the primary Field Marketing Operations partner to the Planogram team for communication affecting the new store format.
  • Monitor POG, assortment, fixture, and merchandising changes to determine potential impacts to signage and store marketing materials.
  • Coordinate communication among Merchandising, the POG team, Field Marketing, Creative, Store Operations, and other affected partners.
  • Ensure stores receive the guidance, files, timing, and supporting information needed to execute changes successfully.
  • Maintain organized records of placement instructions, revisions, approvals, and final store-facing materials.
  • Review guides and communications for accuracy, clarity, and alignment before release.
  • Create repeatable processes for identifying and communicating signage impacts when planograms or assortments change.
  • Gather feedback from stores and operational partners to improve placement guides and future execution instructions.

20% | SIGNAGE INTAKE, BRIEFING & PROJECT COORDINATION

  • Manage the intake and prioritization of ongoing signage needs.
  • Develop clear and complete creative briefs based on input from Field Marketing, Merchandising, Store Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure briefs are initiated early enough to support creative development, approvals, production, and store delivery timelines.
  • Define project scope, required deliverables, store quantities, placement expectations, stakeholders, and timing.
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, approvals, dependencies, and status reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews and consolidate feedback into clear direction for Creative and vendor partners.
  • Maintain accurate project information within the team’s designated workflow or project management system.
  • Identify potential timing, cost, scope, or execution risks and communicate those risks to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support signage testing, pilots, launches, replacements, and refreshes as needed.
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to assess priorities when multiple urgent needs compete for resources.

15% | FINANCIAL OPERATIONS & VENDOR ADMINISTRATION

  • Create, maintain, and track purchase orders for new store marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure purchase orders are established before vendors begin work, when required by company processes.
  • Coordinate the timely processing, coding, approval, and reconciliation of vendor invoices
  • Maintain accurate trackers for project estimates, purchase orders, invoices, commitments, and actual spending.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and outstanding invoices; follow up with internal & external partners to resolve delays.
  • Partner with Finance, Procurement, Field Marketing leadership, and budget owners to confirm funding and coding.
  • Support monthly financial tracking, accruals, forecasting, and reconciliation activities.
  • Identify potential budget variances and elevate concerns before they affect project delivery or vendor relationships.
  • Support ongoing vendor coordination, including estimates, timelines, deliverables, and issue resolution.

5% | REPORTING, ANALYTICS & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

  • Develop and maintain Excel-based reporting related to projects, signage needs, store readiness, invoices, purchase orders, budgets, and execution status.
  • Analyze operational and financial information to identify gaps, risks, trends, and opportunities.
  • Create dashboards and recurring status reporting for Marketing leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Evaluate current workflows and recommend improvements that increase clarity, accountability, speed, and scalability.
  • Document standard operating procedures for signage intake, placement guides, POG communication, financial administration, and sustainment.
  • Establish tracking mechanisms and service expectations for recurring operational activities.
  • Support adoption and consistent use of project management, asset management, and workflow tools.
  • Identify manual processes that can be simplified, standardized, or automated.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
