CDL-A Local Grocery Driver
Earn $100,000–$110,000 per year on a dedicated grocery account with home daily, consistent routes, and a $10,000 bonus. Drivers start and finish each day at the East Granby, CT yard and deliver fresh and frozen groceries throughout the Northeast.

- Drivers start and end their day at the East Granby yard
- Support the North Hatfield, MA grocery facility
Pay Details
- $100,000–$110,000 average annual pay
- Approximately $1,950–$2,150 average weekly pay
- $10,000 bonus
- $0.52–$0.56 CPM
- Approximately 1,500 miles per week
- Occasional layover includes a hotel
Job Details
- Dedicated fresh and frozen grocery account
- Deliver using 46', 48', 51' and 53' reefer trailers
- Approximately 350-mile operating radius
- NYC boroughs and Long Island make up approximately 80–90% of the work
- Drivers should expect NYC borough deliveries daily
- Also operate throughout NY, NJ, MA, VT, RI, NH, ME and PA
- Multi-stop deliveries, averaging 15–20 stops per week
- Typically one long load per day, with an occasional second shorter load
- Occasional returns and backhauls to the distribution center
- Electric pallet jack used to assist with unloading
- Support other local accounts as needed
- Strong customer service skills required
Shift Details
- Home daily
- Monday–Friday + every other Saturday
- Main start times around 1:00 AM–2:30 AM
- 12–14 hour shifts
- Drivers may start in West Haven around midnight–1:30 AM before heading to North Hatfield for pickup
- 6th day mandatory during holiday peak periods
- Occasional overnight layover may be required; hotel provided
- Drivers work scheduled holidays unless the account is not operating
- Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's: off during the day but work the holiday night
Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
- Clean driving record
- DOT Medical Card
- No SAP drivers
- Must have reliable personal transportation to and from the yard daily
- Ability to safely operate a reefer and assist with unloading using an electric pallet jack
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle early-morning starts and multi-stop grocery deliveries
