CDL-A Semi-Local Driver – Stockton, CA

Earn an average of $80,000 per year hauling a mix of flatbed and dry van freight. Based in Stockton, CA, this semi-local position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, weekends off, and approximately 1–2 overnight layovers per week. Drivers primarily support regional freight operations, with occasional deliveries to retail locations.

Pay & Schedule

  • Average annual pay: $80,000
  • Average weekly pay: Approximately $1,538
  • Pay rate: $0.69–$0.70 CPM
  • Average mileage: Approximately 1,729 miles per week
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Start times: 1:00 AM–3:00 AM
  • Shift length: Approximately 10–12 hours per day
  • Layovers: Average 1–2 nights per week
  • Weekends off

Job Details

  • Semi-local, multi-account driving position
  • Drivers primarily assist with flatbed deliveries to customer sites throughout the Bay Area and Central Valley
  • Secure flatbed loads using straps and chains
  • Customer handles live unloading for flatbed deliveries
  • Additional dry van and pup trailer deliveries to retail locations in California, Nevada, and Utah
  • Retail deliveries include a mix of live unload and drop-and-hook
  • Must be able to break down doubles when required
  • Automatic sleeper trucks assigned to drivers
  • Trucks must remain at the account during time off

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Valid DOT Medical Card
  • No SAP drivers
  • Doubles endorsement required
  • Hazmat endorsement required
  • TWIC card required within 60 days of hire
  • Must be comfortable securing flatbed freight with straps and chains
  • Must be willing to support different accounts and freight types as needed
