The posting

Own the roadmap of the registration platform behind one of the world’s largest top-level domains, from EPP to data analytics.

Product Owner – Registration Services

Our client is a European not-for-profit organisation, human-sized and firmly technology-driven, responsible for managing and operating one of the world’s largest country-code top-level domains in the public interest.

What makes it stand out? It delivers secure, resilient and accessible registration services to millions of users across Europe, through a network of accredited registrars.

The organisation is modernising its core registration platform and shaping the next generation of services supporting the registration and management of domain names.

To drive this, it is looking for a Product Owner to define the vision, roadmap and priorities across these mission-critical activities: core registration platform, EPP, registration APIs, domain-name lifecycle, registry-to-registrar integrations, data analytics and platform modernisation.

The job

  • Based in Diegem and working within the Technology Department, you operate at the intersection of Business Operations, Architecture and Service Design, Engineering, Service Delivery, Compliance and Security.
  • Translate strategic, operational, regulatory and stakeholder needs into clear product direction and deliverable priorities, balancing immediate service improvements with long-term modernisation, resilience, security and technological sovereignty.

Role

  • Define and maintain the product vision, strategy and roadmap for the assigned Registration Services areas: core registration platform, EPP, registration APIs, RDAP, domain-name lifecycle and data analytics capabilities.
  • Own, structure and prioritise the backlog, making transparent trade-offs between business value, urgency, risk, delivery capacity, dependencies and long-term sustainability.
  • Work closely with Business Owners and with the engineering, architecture, service delivery, compliance and security teams to ensure requirements are understood, feasible and aligned.
  • Give clear product direction to the Business Analysts, validate functional requirements and acceptance criteria, and own functional acceptance through to go/no-go release decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, NIS2, AI regulations and internal governance frameworks, and monitor developments within ICANN, IETF, CENTR and the wider domain-name ecosystem.

Profile

  • University degree in computer science, engineering, business, information systems or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least seven years in technology-driven products or services, including substantial experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager. Familiarity with the domain-name ecosystem, EPP, WHOIS or RDAP and DNS provisioning is a strong asset, as is a background in telecommunications or another regulated service industry.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of other European languages is an asset.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
