POSITION SUMMARY: The Sanitation Sanitor position will be responsible for all cleaning of soiled equipment used in the production process. All areas must be maintained according to department health codes. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Maintaining all areas by washing walls, ceilings, floors, and equipment • Visually inspect equipment and complete Sanitation worksheet document following each wash. • Maintain the storage of all cleaning supplies and utensils as instructed. • Work directly with QA to correct any deficiencies that may exist after inspection. • Set-up line and equipment to company standard prior to production when applicable. • Participate in company training sessions on all safety topics, work instructions, cleaning procedures, as well as Quality standards. • Operates Sanitation Cleaning equipment safely according to instructions given. • Understands the use of cleaning chemicals • Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy. • Complies with GMP, food safety, and safety standards at all times • Follow all SFC Core Values and be a team player • Other duties as assigned SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or GED required • Manufacturing experience preferred • Basic knowledge of safe food handling practices • Knowledge of Food Safety preferred • Must have a strong attention to detail, and good time management • Good communications and basic computer skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Employees will be required to walk, kneel, sit and stand long periods of time up to 8-12 hours at a time. • Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach frequently. • Hand-eye coordination is required to properly complete job. • Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as cold/wet temperatures, and/or loud noises. • May frequently lift up to 65 pounds
