The posting

About the opportunity Great maintenance starts with great planning.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Maintenance Planner to help keep our Berkeley Vale manufacturing site operating safely, reliably and efficiently.

Reporting to the Site Maintenance & Reliability Manager, you’ll bring together the people, parts, systems and schedules needed to deliver effective maintenance. Your scope will include preventative and corrective maintenance planning, shutdown coordination, maintenance systems, contractor coordination and oversight of the maintenance stores team.

Working closely with Maintenance, Production, Technical, Supply Chain and Finance, you’ll turn operational priorities into practical, well-prepared maintenance plans that improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. What you’ll be doing

Develop detailed work plans covering labour, materials, tools, permits and contractor requirements, while maintaining an organised and prioritised maintenance backlog. Bring together work scopes, resources and schedules, ensuring contractors are prepared and site requirements are met. Be the site’s key contact for the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), supporting accurate asset records, quality work orders and practical training for users. Lead and support the stores team, coordinate purchasing and maintain critical spare parts availability while managing inventory effectively. Use maintenance data and equipment history to identify recurring issues, strengthen preventative and predictive maintenance programs, and support continuous improvement. Work closely with production and maintenance stakeholders to align priorities, monitor progress and report on maintenance performance. Build site safety, food safety, hygiene and compliance requirements into maintenance planning and contractor activities.

What you’ll bring You’re organised, technically minded and comfortable working across teams to get things done. You understand that effective planning is about more than a schedule—it’s about making sure work is ready to be completed safely and efficiently. You’ll bring:

A trade or engineering qualification, or equivalent maintenance industry experience. At least five years’ experience in maintenance planning, scheduling or coordination. Demonstrated experience using a CMMS within an FMCG or manufacturing environment. Strong practical knowledge of preventative maintenance, work order planning and backlog management. The ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate people, materials and resources. Strong analytical and reporting skills, with advanced Microsoft Office capability, particularly Excel. Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across operational teams. The ability to lead, coach and support the maintenance stores team. Experience in food manufacturing, shutdown planning, reliability-centred maintenance, predictive maintenance or technical training would be highly regarded.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
