Join Sanofi, a global biopharmaceutical company, through our 23-month Graduate Programme in Waterford. Explore three different functions, gain hands-on industry experience and develop the skills to shape your future career.

As a Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) Graduate, you'll discover how science and innovative technologies help bring life-changing medicines to patients. From introducing new products and improving manufacturing processes to developing analytical methods, you'll gain hands-on experience across three specialist areas that play a vital role in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

One programme. Three rotations. A world of experience.

Why explore just one area when you could experience three?

Our structured Graduate Programme takes you through three rotations (two 8-month rotations, and 7-month), providing exposure to different functions, meaningful projects and opportunities to learn from experienced professionals.

Your rotation journey

Rotation 1: Manufacturing Sciences | Months 1–8

Start your journey in the state-of-the-art MSAT laboratory, working alongside the Manufacturing Sciences team and supporting the Lyophilisation Centre of Excellence for the Sanofi network. You'll explore the science behind biopharmaceutical products and learn how laboratory technologies support manufacturing processes.

  • Support new product introductions and technology transfers to Sanofi Waterford and the wider Sanofi network.
  • Gain hands-on experience with small-scale lyophilisers, protein characterisation and solid-state characterisation techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing investigations and deviations.

Rotation 2: Manufacturing Technologies & Industrialisation | Months 9–16

Build on your laboratory experience by exploring how scientific knowledge and technologies are transferred into commercial manufacturing. You'll learn how complex manufacturing processes are introduced, maintained and continuously improved.

  • Support technology transfer projects and the introduction of new products to commercial manufacturing operations.
  • Learn how changes to validated manufacturing processes are managed to improve efficiency and support product lifecycle management.
  • Contribute to manufacturing investigations, deviation resolution and process improvement activities.

Rotation 3: Analytical Sciences | Months 17–23

Complete your graduate journey in the MSAT Analytical Sciences team, working in a state-of-the-art analytical laboratory. You'll develop an understanding of the methods and technologies used to analyse biopharmaceutical products and support their quality.

  • Gain experience in the development, qualification and validation of analytical methods for biopharmaceutical testing.
  • Support analytical method transfers, new technology introduction and cross-functional projects.
  • Contribute to analytical investigations, troubleshooting, method optimisation/automation and innovation initiatives.

Your development focus

Throughout the programme, you'll build the scientific knowledge, technical capabilities and transferable skills needed to develop your career in Manufacturing Science and Technology.

  • Scientific and technical expertise: Develop practical knowledge of lyophilisation, protein characterisation, analytical testing and biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking: Strengthen your ability to interpret scientific data, investigate technical challenges and contribute to process improvements.
  • Collaboration and communication: Build confidence in presenting scientific findings, working with cross-functional teams and communicating technical information clearly.
  • Project management and professional development: Develop organisational, influencing and leadership skills through hands-on projects, structured training and practical experience.

Your growth, our commitment

Your development is at the heart of our programme. Here's what you can look forward to:

  • Three diverse rotations: Explore different functions and build a broader understanding of the business.
  • Dedicated cross-functional mentor: Receive guidance from an assigned mentor, with monthly check-ins throughout the programme.
  • A buddy in every rotation: Get practical, day-to-day support as you settle into each new team.
  • Hands-on training: Learn directly from experienced colleagues and develop skills through practical experience and training opportunities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
