About the Role

As a Functional Loans Consultant for SAP Transactional Banking (TRBK), you will bring specialist expertise in Banking Loans Management processes and SAP Fioneer Core Banking solutions. You will work closely with banking clients, business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to analyse business requirements, design functional solutions, and support the implementation and evolution of SAP Banking Loans Management capabilities.

You will contribute to end-to-end delivery across the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, functional and solution design, implementation, testing, migration, and production support. You will also support S/4HANA Transactional Banking transition and conversion engagements, helping banks assess existing functionality, address custom developments, and align solutions with standard SAP Fioneer capabilities where appropriate.

This role is specifically focused on Loans Management within the Banking Services and TRBK landscape, rather than SAP CML (Consumer and Mortgage Loans).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience in SAP Banking Services, Banking Loans Management, or SAP Transactional Banking implementations and support.
  • Demonstrable functional expertise in SAP Banking Services Loans Management and/or S/4HANA Transactional Banking (TRBK).
  • Strong understanding of banking lending processes and the functional requirements associated with Loans Management products and services.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, functional specification development, and solution design.
  • Experience supporting SAP Banking Services or TRBK implementation, enhancement, upgrade, transition, or conversion projects.
  • Experience in functional testing, including test scenario preparation, SIT, UAT, defect analysis, and solution validation.
  • Ability to analyse existing functionality and customer-specific developments and contribute to the design of appropriate standard-based solutions or workarounds.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams and solution architects to deliver integrated banking solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a distributed, international project environment.
  • Business-fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a functional subject matter expert in SAP Banking Loans Management, applying in-depth knowledge of banking lending processes and the supporting SAP Fioneer solution.
  • Conduct workshops with banking clients to understand business requirements, analyze existing processes and system landscapes, and translate business needs into functional requirements.
  • Develop functional specifications, business process definitions, solution designs, and supporting documentation for Loans Management functionality.
  • Support the design, build, and execution of Loans Management products and services in line with customer requirements and the capabilities of the SAP Fioneer platform.
  • Support the implementation and evolution of Banking Loans Management solutions, including functional configuration and solution validation as applicable to the project.
  • Contribute to SAP Banking Services and S/4 TRBK transition and conversion projects, including functional impact assessments, analysis of existing custom functionality, and the design of suitable solutions or workarounds.
  • Assess opportunities to align existing customer-specific functionality with standard SAP Fioneer capabilities and recommend appropriate functional solutions.
  • Prepare and review functional test scenarios, support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), investigate functional defects, and validate solutions against agreed requirements.
  • Support Loans Management migration activities, data validation, reconciliation, and related testing where required by the engagement.
  • Work with technical consultants, solution architects, and other banking functional teams to assess dependencies, resolve issues, and support end-to-end solution integration.
  • Conduct functional reviews, validate business scenarios, and ensure that functional specifications and deliverables meet project quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with client stakeholders, facilitate discussions, provide functional guidance, and support solution demonstrations where required.
  • Contribute to delivery planning, effort estimation, progress reporting, go-live preparation, and post-go-live support.

Nice to have

  • Experience with S/4HANA TRBK transition or conversion engagements, including SAP Banking Services upgrades.
  • Exposure to loans data migration, migration validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate, Agile/Scrum, or other structured implementation methodologies.
  • Experience working with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • SAP Banking Services certification or relevant SAP Transactional Banking certification.
