As a Break Relief Machine Operator in the Production department. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring machine operators in multiple areas receive their breaks timely. The candidate will learn multiple positions in the production department.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter...

  • Must learn to operate multiple machines and positions within the production area.
  • Provide breaks to other operators within the production area, such as the DMC, RMC, Cheesemaker and VAT Helper).
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures in detail without deviation.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot equipment shortfalls/failures, and repair tasks that may not require Maintenance Department.
  • Understand and perform CIP on all equipment and clean up as needed.
  • Check acids and PH levels
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure is critical to this position.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and be productive in high pressure, fast paced situations.
  • Neatly accurately and legibly maintain all records and documentation.
  • Monitor machine and product temperatures to ensure product is at the correct temperature.
  • Pull product samples from machine and provide to the lab.
  • Follow all established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Responsible for maintaining food safety and quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You Are Best Suited For The Role If You….

  • Previous production machine operating work experience in food manufacturing, dairy food manufacturing industry preferred but not required.
  • Must possess a strong work character and have the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and passion for the job.
  • Ability to multi-task and follow instructions.
  • Must be self-motivated and self-directed to support complex operations.
  • Critical thinking and ability to analyze data and situations is a must. This involves being detail oriented with strong emphasis on accuracy and organization.
  • Understands and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Promptly reports any unsafe working conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Promptly reports all potential quality and food safety hazards to management.
  • Complies with all of Saputo’s food safety, quality programs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrates integrity in all business activities with employees, visitors, and vendors.
  • Reliable and consistent attendance and available to work any shift, overtime or holidays as required; may be required t cover the absences of key personnel.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Hourly Pay Rate $26.55
