The posting

Challenges you will work on

Do you thrive in an environment where analysis, planning, and operational decision-making go hand in hand?

As a Flight Dispatcher at SAS, you will play a key role in our flight operation. Working closely with pilots and colleagues in the Operations Control Center, you will be responsible for flight planning, operational follow-up, and support for our intercontinental operations. This role is well suited to someone who is motivated by responsibility, collaboration, and making well-informed decisions in a business that operates around the clock.

SAS Flight Dispatch is part of the SAS Operations Control Center, offering a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Your responsibilities include

  • Preparing flight plans and operational documentation for SAS' intercontinental flights.
  • Performing analyses and weight calculations for range-critical routes.
  • Working with Flow Management to support an efficient flight operation.
  • Monitoring flights and ensuring continuous operational follow-up.
  • Providing operational support to pilots and operational management.

To be successful, we believe you have

  • Valid Scandinavian FOO (K) licence or equivalent.
  • Valid ATPL licence or completed ATPL theoretical training.
  • For candidates whose highest qualification is completed ATPL theory, a passing result in the Danish Civil Aviation Authority's Flight Dispatcher examination is required before permanent employment can be offered.
  • Relevant experience from the aviation industry.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and at least one Scandinavian language (Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish).

You thrive in an operational environment where the pace can be high and conditions can change quickly. With a structured approach and the ability to prioritize, you maintain an overview even when handling several tasks simultaneously.

As a Flight Dispatcher, you are a team player who values close collaboration and clear communication. You work closely with pilots, colleagues in the Operations Control Center, and other stakeholders to ensure that the right information reaches the right people at the right time. You actively contribute to joint solutions, take a service-minded approach, and understand the importance of collaboration in supporting a safe and efficient flight operation.

You are flexible, adaptable, and enjoy working in an organization that operates 24/7, 365 days a year.

As a future colleague on our team, you’ll join a culture where we work collaboratively towards common goals, recognize each other's contributions, and celebrate successes. Our focus is on safe, sustainable, and punctual execution, and we are committed to protecting our planet while transforming SAS for the future. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
