MAINTENANCE - ELECTRICIAN TECHNICIAN Pay range - $30.14/hr to $44.05/hr   Overall Goal of Position: Installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining safely and efficiently to support the team.   Primary focus is to perform diverse duties such as installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment in accordance with safety and productive maintenance standards to support achievement of production objectives.   Key Duties and Responsibilities

Performs diversified duties to maintain production machinery. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs maintenance repairs of production equipment. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit. Works closely with operations and maintenance personnel to maintain safe operation of manufacturing equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Demonstrated proficiency in the following areas.

Experience with Maximo CMMS systems or other like CMMS computer systems. Ability to work and thrive under time constraints and juggle/prioritize responsibilities. Strong teamwork skills Good verbal communication skills Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

  The Ideal Candidate Will Have:  

High School diploma or equivalent A minimum of at least 5 years’ experience in industrial/electrical maintenance preferably in food production manufacturing. Able to directly work with and repair electrical systems and electrical system interfaces with plant equipment. Must have a hands-on understanding of 480v, PLC’s electrical trouble shooting, the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.

  Physical Requirements:   While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, kneel, crouch, and crawl.   Successful Attributes:  

Driven, self-starter with the capacity to establish priorities, work independently and achieve objectives with minimal supervision. Superior analytical and troubleshooting skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and communications skills as well as engaging interpersonal skills. Versed in lock-out/tag-out procedures and possess a strong safety orientation and record.
