The posting

You'll be responsible for increasing new customer signups through paid acquisition, primarily across Google and Meta, while identifying opportunities to expand into additional channels.

This is an individual contributor role for someone who has successfully managed and scaled paid campaigns, understands the relationship between advertising spend and customer acquisition costs, and enjoys experimenting with new strategies to improve performance.

You'll work closely with senior growth leadership and have the opportunity to take ownership of paid acquisition while contributing to broader growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Own paid acquisition performance: Manage, optimize, and scale campaigns across Google Ads and Meta Ads, while exploring LinkedIn and other potential acquisition channels.
  • Drive customer acquisition: Increase monthly brand signups while maintaining efficient customer acquisition costs.
  • Scale advertising budgets: Identify opportunities to increase spending on successful campaigns without sacrificing performance or profitability.
  • Manage campaign execution: Own campaign setup, audience targeting, bidding strategies, keyword selection, retargeting, and performance tracking.
  • Optimize conversion rates: Create, test, and improve landing pages, messaging, and calls to action to turn more visitors into customers.
  • Experiment with new strategies: Continuously test advertising channels, creatives, audiences, and acquisition approaches.
  • Analyze performance: Track key metrics, including signups, CAC, CAC payback, conversion rates, and revenue contribution.
  • Collaborate across teams: Work with Growth, Product Marketing, and external partners to improve acquisition performance.
  • Leverage AI tools: Use AI to accelerate campaign development, analysis, experimentation, and marketing workflows.

Requirements

  • Approximately 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, or paid acquisition.
  • Proven hands-on experience managing and optimizing paid advertising campaigns, particularly Google Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Demonstrated success scaling paid acquisition programs while maintaining or improving acquisition efficiency.
  • Experience managing five-figure monthly advertising budgets.
  • Strong understanding of CAC, LTV, CAC payback, conversion rates, and marketing ROI.
  • Experience developing and optimizing campaign structures, targeting strategies, bidding, and performance tracking.
  • Experience improving landing page performance through conversion rate optimization and experimentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate marketing data into actionable decisions.
  • Comfortable working independently and executing campaigns directly rather than solely managing teams or agencies.
  • Practical interest in using AI tools to improve marketing efficiency and results.
  • Ability to work from the Vancouver office three days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at a startup, B2B SaaS company, product-led growth business, or online marketplace.
  • Experience building a paid acquisition program from scratch or significantly scaling an existing program.
  • Experience acquiring self-serve users or customers for a digital product.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Ads or other emerging paid acquisition channels.
  • Familiarity with SEO, lifecycle marketing, content marketing, or marketing operations.
  • Experience with marketing analytics, attribution, and reporting tools.
  • Experience managing agencies or freelancers.
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing or the creator economy.

Benefits

  • Competitive Pay: $100,000 - $140,000 CAD
  • Annual Reviews: yearly performance and compensation reviews with opportunities for raises.
  • Paid Time Off: 3 weeks of vacation to recharge.
  • Paid Holidays: observe statutory holidays with pay.
  • Paid Sick Leave: take care of yourself when you need it.
  • Autonomy & Ownership: you'll have real control over your projects and the freedom to shape how things get done.
  • Growth Potential: opportunity for career progression and financial growth.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
