Help strengthen financial crime prevention in a leading international financial institution

Are you an experienced KYC professional with a strong understanding of AML requirements and client due diligence? Do you enjoy working in a collaborative environment where quality, compliance, and continuous improvement are key priorities? Based in our Zurich office, you will play an important role in safeguarding the bank against financial crime while ensuring a seamless client experience.

About the Role

As a Senior KYC Analyst, you will support client onboarding and ongoing due diligence activities across private and corporate client segments. Working closely with Commercial teams and key stakeholders, you will help ensure compliance with Swiss regulatory requirements and internal AML standards while contributing to high-quality KYC processes.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with both private and corporate clients across varying risk levels.
  • Partner with stakeholders throughout the onboarding and review lifecycle.
  • Support the development and maintenance of robust KYC and AML processes.
  • Contribute to a strong financial crime prevention framework through quality assurance and regulatory expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Support and conduct client onboarding activities in line with AML regulations, Swiss requirements, and internal policies.
  • Perform ongoing due diligence reviews of existing clients and escalate potential AML or financial crime risks.
  • Collaborate with Commercial teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient onboarding and review processes.
  • Conduct quality checks of KYC assessments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify quality gaps and recommend process improvements.
  • Stay up to date on AML regulations, Swiss financial regulations, and industry developments.
  • Participate in the review and enhancement of AML policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Support knowledge-sharing and best-practice initiatives within the team.

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced KYC professional who combines strong analytical skills with a proactive and quality-focused approach.

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • 4-5 years of experience in a KYC, CDD, or AML role within financial services.
  • A relevant degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements and customer due diligence obligations.
  • Understanding of customer ownership structures, beneficial ownership, and AML risks.
  • Professional proficiency in German and English.
  • Experience working with both private and corporate clients.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound risk assessment capabilities.
  • A detail-oriented and quality-driven mindset.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organisation.
