About the Role

As a Tax Services Product Specialist, you will help shape and develop Saxo’s global tax service offering, connecting tax expertise with investment products, custody infrastructure and technology.

You will design, improve and evolve processes across withholding tax, Relief at Source, tax reclaims, documentation, beneficial owner disclosure and financial transaction taxes, turning complex tax and market requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

Working across Tax Operations, Corporate Actions, Custody, Product, Technology, Compliance and Legal, you will translate regulatory and market developments into effective tax services, processes and controls. You will also collaborate with custodians, paying agents and tax service providers internationally.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, connecting the dots across functions and turning specialist tax knowledge into better products and services.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Define and maintain tax services, tax treatment rules, investor classifications and operational requirements, including eligibility, limitations and controls.
  • Work with Operations, Product and Technology to enhance tax processes, system solutions and automation, and implement new tax and custody solutions.
  • Support tax remittance processes covering withholding taxes, financial transaction taxes, stamp duties and other local tax requirements.
  • Investigate tax-related incidents and client cases, identify root causes and drive remediation, process improvements and service documentation.
  • Work with custodians, paying agents, tax vendors and other providers, while providing tax subject-matter expertise and supporting risk assessments, controls, audits and regulatory reviews.

Your profile

The role is suited to professionals with experience in investment tax, custody, securities services, corporate actions, asset servicing or related areas within financial services.

Relevant experience and knowledge may include:

  • Experience in tax operations, custody, securities services, corporate actions or asset servicing.
  • Knowledge of withholding tax and cross-border investment taxation.
  • Experience with tax processes, documentation, Relief at Source, tax reclaims or beneficial owner disclosure.
  • Ability to interpret tax guidance, regulatory requirements and market practices.
  • Experience translating requirements into processes, controls or system solutions.
  • Experience working with global custodians, intermediaries or service providers.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience resolving tax or operational cases.
  • Experience developing procedures, service documentation or control frameworks.
  • Ability to communicate complex tax and operational topics to different stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating effectively across functions and with external partners.

Additional Relevant Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be beneficial:

  • Global custody models, including omnibus and segregated structures.
  • Financial transaction taxes, stamp duties and other investment taxes.
  • Regulatory or market change initiatives.
  • Tax product or service development.
  • Tax technology, automation or system implementation.
  • Multi-market tax remittance and reporting.
  • Service governance, operational risk or controls.

More about the role

The position provides the opportunity to work across international markets, tax regimes and custody networks and contribute to the ongoing development of Saxo’s tax service offering.

The role combines tax subject-matter knowledge with custody, operations, service development and technology. It therefore provides exposure to both the technical requirements associated with investment taxation and the operational and system solutions required to deliver tax services at scale.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
