Job Overview
The Site Safety Escort is responsible for providing onsite escort services for visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while maintaining a safe and secure work environment. This position performs fire watch duties during hot work operations, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and preventing fire hazards.
Roles & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Escort visitors, vendors, contractors, and other authorized personnel to and from security gates, meeting locations, and buildings throughout the campus.
- Accompany contractors while performing work onsite to ensure compliance with security and safety requirements.
- Escort delivery vehicles and trucks to designated shipping and receiving locations.
- Perform fire watch duties during hot work activities such as welding, cutting, grinding, or other spark-producing operations.
- Monitor work areas for fire hazards and unsafe conditions before, during, and after hot work activities.
- Take immediate action in accordance with emergency procedures should a fire or safety incident occur.
- Communicate safety concerns, hazards, or security issues to management and onsite emergency response personnel.
- Complete required fire watch, safety, and security-related training and certifications.
- The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
A valid driver's license may be required for this position based on business needs. Employees required to drive as part of their job duties must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements.
Fire extinguisher training and certification provided by the onsite EMS/Fire Department and EHS Department.
Completion of all required site safety, security, and fire watch training programs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to walk extensively throughout a large campus environment for the majority of each shift.
Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8-10 hours per day.
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Shifts and Compensation
Monday - Friday:7am-3:30pm w/the chance of 5pm
$17-$18 per hour
