🚀 Senior Scala Developer

💰 Rate: 38–44 EUR/h 📄 Contract: B2B 🏠 Location: 100% Remote

We are looking for a Senior Scala Developer to join a globally recognized fintech project focused on post-trade automation and large-scale financial systems. Our client is a London-based technology company trusted by more than 180 financial institutions worldwide, including 25 of the 30 globally systemically important banks (G-SIBs). You’ll have the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems used across the global financial market — all while enjoying the flexibility of fully remote work.

💻 Your responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing real-time financial data streaming components • Building and maintaining services based on Akka (Actors, Streams, HTTP) • Developing Kafka consumers with proper offset handling and advanced error management • Working with Slick and PostgreSQL (schema modeling, queries, migrations) • Writing unit and integration tests, especially for asynchronous code • Collaborating directly with the client’s engineering team in London

🛠 Tech Stack:

• Scala • Akka (Actors, Streams, HTTP) • ZIO • Apache Kafka • Slick / PostgreSQL • AWS (EC2, S3, SQS/SNS)

✅ What we expect:

• 4–5+ years of commercial Scala experience • Strong knowledge of Akka Actors & Akka Streams • Hands-on experience with ZIO in production environments • Practical experience with Apache Kafka and distributed systems • Experience with testing asynchronous applications • Knowledge of AWS/cloud environments • Fluent English communication skills
