# Manager, Engineering ## Job Summary The Manager, Engineering will lead a team of staff employees, ensuring their performance aligns with the organization's goals. This role involves defining a vision for the team, optimizing operational efficiency, and addressing complex challenges within the engineering domain.

## Responsibilities - Manage a team of staff employees, setting performance objectives, conducting reviews, and recommending pay actions. - Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap and vision in alignment with departmental and company objectives. - Report on team activities and be accountable for the performance and results of the unit. - Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. - Suggest alternatives, improvements, and new techniques in processes and operational models. - Timely manage the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries. - Collaborate with software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams to ensure software systems are designed for testability, stability, scalability, and performance. - Ensure timely communication to team members regarding company and organizational information.

## Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Experience: 10-12 years of industry experience in the development and operation of Big Data Infrastructure and Applications. - Technical Skills: - 4-5 years of experience in distributed Azure cloud-based environments. - Proficient with Big Data technology stacks: Apache Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Hive, Flume, Sqoop, PostGres, Kubernetes, Oozie, Airflow, etc. - Understanding of cloud platforms and automated configuration frameworks like Data Mesh, Databricks, and Synapse. - Knowledge of scalability, stability, and security challenges in cloud-based applications. - Experience with container and virtualization technologies. - Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery pipeline principles. - Experience in infrastructure and log monitoring using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, ELK, and Splunk. - General understanding of network layers (TCP/IP, load balancing) is a plus. - Experience with high-level programming languages such as Python, Scala, or R is a plus.

## Preferred Skills - Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate the team.

## Experience - 10-12 years of relevant experience in engineering management and Big Data technologies.

## Environment - Work Type: Full-time - Work Mode: In-office - Location: Bangalore

## Salary - Estimated salary range: ₹6,000,000
