## Job Summary The Manager, Software Development will lead a team responsible for analyzing user needs and designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining software solutions. The role combines technical expertise with leadership, focusing on driving the product vision and optimizing team performance.

## Responsibilities - Manage a team of 10 to 15 team members and oversee their performance and results. - Define a clear vision for the team aligned with departmental strategies and operational challenges, translating it into actionable plans. - Anticipate solutions to complex problems and act as a reference across multiple areas. - Optimize efficiency by applying knowledge of policies, procedures, and business plans. - Define and communicate the technical/functional team roadmap and vision to meet departmental goals. - Ensure timely investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries. - Collaborate with software development, architecture, solutions, and quality assurance (QA) teams to ensure designed systems are testable, stable, scalable, and perform well. - Facilitate timely and appropriate communication regarding company and organizational information to team members.

## Qualifications - Strong technical development skills, particularly in Internal Developer Platforms such as Backstage or any other IDP tool preferred. - Excellent leadership capabilities with experience in managing team dynamics and performance. - Ability to influence and motivate team members effectively. - Proven ability to develop plans and priorities that address resource and operational challenges. - Strong communication skills to report on team activities and performance. - Relevant degrees in computer science, information technology, or related fields are preferred.

## Preferred Skills - Previous experience in a managerial position is not necessary; however, candidates with a solid technical background willing to manage are encouraged. - Familiarity with software development methodologies and practices.
