Role Summary

This is a combined Program and Traffic Manager role within Digitribe, responsible for coordinating the flow of briefs, information, assets and creative work across brand and agency teams.

As Traffic Manager, you will optimize workflow and operational efficiency by managing the intake, prioritization and movement of creative briefs and projects for a large portfolio of alcohol and beverage brands within a fast-paced social media newsroom.

As Program Manager, you will connect brand teams with the capabilities of the client-embedded agency team, ensuring that briefs are clearly understood and that information and assets move smoothly to support impactful marketing campaigns.

Reporting to the Delivery Director, you will ensure creative teams receive well-defined briefs and that projects progress efficiently. This mid-to-senior-level role suits a highly organized, strategic professional with a strong track record of improving creative workflows in a digital-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

Brief Management & Workflow Optimization

  • Act as the primary point of contact for incoming creative briefs, ensuring each brief is complete, sufficiently detailed and submitted through Wrike.
  • Return incomplete briefs or briefs submitted outside Wrike, providing clear guidance on the revisions and correct submission process required.
  • Implement and maintain effective traffic-management processes to ensure work flows smoothly and on time through the creative department.
  • Prioritize and schedule creative projects based on deadlines, resource availability and strategic importance.
  • Identify missing information or ambiguities in briefs and work with brand teams to resolve them promptly.

Project Coordination & Communication

  • Distribute briefs to the appropriate creative teams, including copywriters, designers and art directors, ensuring all required information and assets are available.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential bottlenecks and proactively resolve issues to keep work on track.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication among creative teams, social media managers, strategists and account managers regarding project status, timelines and deliverables.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and stand-ups to assess workloads, identify conflicts and support efficient resource allocation.

Asset & Information Coordination

  • Collaborate with brand teams to gather and organize required assets, including brand guidelines, existing artwork, legal approvals and supporting materials.
  • Ensure the studio team receives all required assets in the correct formats and within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain a clear and organized system for tracking and managing project assets.

Process Improvement & Tool Management

  • Champion Wrike as the central project-management tool for brief submission and project tracking.
  • Identify opportunities to improve brief submission, project initiation and creative review processes.
  • Develop and maintain clear guidelines and best practices for brief submission and project management.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on brief submission and workflow procedures in Wrike.
  • Proactively manage project scope and escalate potential changes or deviations to the appropriate stakeholders.

Delivery & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure deliverables meet the brief requirements and align with brand standards before presentation to brand teams.
  • Facilitate the review and feedback process between studio and brand teams, promoting clear and constructive communication.
  • Track final approvals and ensure all project assets are delivered on time.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track and report key performance indicators relating to project intake, turnaround times and resource utilization.
  • Use data and insights to identify trends, forecast workloads and recommend appropriate staffing or process adjustments.

Role Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in traffic management, project management or a similar operational role within an agency or in-house creative team.
  • Proven experience using project-management tools, with strong proficiency in Wrike.
  • A demonstrated track record of optimizing creative workflows and improving operational efficiency.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, digital-first environment, preferably managing social media content within an agency or in-house creative team.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of creative production workflows and agency operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in project-management software, particularly Wrike.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into practical improvements.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content-creation processes is an advantage.

Personal Attributes

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A clear and confident communicator who can provide effective direction and feedback.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
  • A strong collaborator who works effectively across teams.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Ogilvy Africa Beliefs

People need regular OS upgrades: Even the best operating system becomes obsolete without regular upgrades. The same is true for people.

We need more cows than milkmen: We are a culture of practitioners, not managers. We contribute before we comment.

Creative about creativity: Creativity is, and will always be, our differentiator. Today, creativity includes the powerful combination of data, content and technology.

Diversity is a competitive advantage: New profiles, skills and leadership styles make us a stronger company.

Collaborative advantage > competitive advantage: We seek partners who excel in the capabilities we need. Collaboration allows us to scale quickly without pretending to have all the answers.

Team > individual: We achieve more when everyone focuses on the outcome rather than individual credit. Teams succeed together.

Fail often, fail fast: We encourage an entrepreneurial culture of pilots: test, succeed and scale, or learn quickly from failure and begin again.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
