Als Teamleider Chauffeurs bij Schenk ben jij de verbindende schakel tussen onze chauffeurs, de operatie en het kantoor. Jij bent zichtbaar op de werkvloer, kent je mensen en weet wat er speelt. Je begeleidt en coacht een team van professionele chauffeurs en zorgt ervoor dat zij hun werk veilig, professioneel en met plezier kunnen uitvoeren.

Je werkt nauw samen met de Operationeel Manager en bent diens rechterhand in de dagelijkse operatie. Je houdt overzicht, signaleert wat beter kan en komt in actie wanneer dat nodig is. Met jouw leiderschap, betrokkenheid en duidelijke communicatie draag je iedere dag bij aan veiligheid, kwaliteit, efficiëntie en klanttevredenheid.

Wat ga je doen?

Als Teamleider Chauffeurs ben je verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse begeleiding en ontwikkeling van jouw chauffeurs. Je bent regelmatig op locatie aanwezig en zoekt actief de verbinding met de mensen die het werk uitvoeren.

Jouw werkzaamheden bestaan onder andere uit:

  • Aansturen, coachen en begeleiden van chauffeurs in verschillende regio’s in Nederland en België;
  • Fungeren als eerste aanspreekpunt voor jouw team en zorgen voor een goede verbinding tussen chauffeurs, operatie en kantoor;
  • Signaleren en bespreekbaar maken van knelpunten op het gebied van prestaties, gedrag, veiligheid en samenwerking;
  • Uitvoeren van surprise visits, rijobservaties en evaluaties;
  • Voeren van functionerings-, voortgangs- en verzuimgesprekken;
  • Organiseren en verzorgen van chauffeursvergaderingen en toolboxmeetings;
  • Begeleiden van nieuwe chauffeurs tijdens hun inwerkperiode en toezien op een goede en veilige start;
  • Ondersteunen bij incidenten, verstoringen en calamiteiten;
  • Monitoren van relevante KPI's en rapporteren van bevindingen en resultaten aan het management;
  • Actief aandragen en realiseren van verbeteringen in processen, samenwerking en prestaties;
  • Bijdragen aan een sterke veiligheidscultuur waarin chauffeurs elkaar aanspreken en verantwoordelijkheid nemen.

Wat breng jij mee?

Jij bent een zichtbare en benaderbare leidinggevende die mensen weet mee te krijgen. Je geeft duidelijk richting, maar hebt ook oog voor de persoon achter de chauffeur. Je spreekt mensen aan wanneer dat nodig is en weet tegelijkertijd vertrouwen en verbinding op te bouwen.

Daarnaast breng je mee:

  • MBO+ werk- en denkniveau;
  • Ervaring als teamleider, supervisor of in een vergelijkbare coachende of leidinggevende functie is een must;
  • Aantoonbare ervaring binnen transport (ADR) en/of logistiek is een pré;
  • Affiniteit met een operationele werkomgeving waarin veiligheid en kwaliteit centraal staan;
  • Het vermogen om gemakkelijk te schakelen tussen mensen, processen en systemen;
  • Goede communicatieve vaardigheden en een duidelijke, verbindende stijl van leidinggeven;
  • Een resultaatgerichte en oplossingsgerichte instelling;
  • Stressbestendigheid en het vermogen om snel en zorgvuldig te handelen bij onverwachte situaties;
  • Ervaring met boordcomputers en/of TMS-systemen is een pré;
  • Een natuurlijke drive om medewerkers te motiveren, te ontwikkelen en het beste uit mensen te halen;
  • Flexibiliteit. Transport is een dynamische sector en vraagt om een leidinggevende die begrijpt dat niet iedere dag volgens een 9-tot-5-schema verloopt.
  • Voor onze Belgische standplaatsen is het beheersen van de Franse taal een must.
