Digital Energy Solutions at Schneider Electric provides intelligent building management solutions that help customers create productive and comfortable environments for occupants, reduce energy consumption and operate buildings more efficiently.

Schneider Electric has a challenging opportunity for an experienced and visionary Product Marketing Manager to lead the development and evolution of the fire loop components portfolio within the Digital Energy Solutions business. You will establish the offer vision, own the roadmap, guide its technical evolution with Procurement and Engineering, shape the commercial model and drive alignment with adjacent offer teams.

You will collaborate closely with Procurement, Program Management, Engineering, Industrialization, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams. As the owner of your offer category, you will be responsible for its growth and profitability.

This role is being filled as part of a planned succession. The successful candidate will work closely with the retiring incumbent during an extended transition to retain critical organizational and product knowledge.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategy and Market Intelligence

Define the offer vision and business strategy within the broader fire systems category. Identify evolving customer needs, industry trends and the competitive landscape across fire systems and building automation.

Identify target segments and work with Commercial teams to develop growth-oriented offer strategies.

Build strong vendor relationships to strengthen the value proposition and competitive positioning, while creating synergies with related hardware and software offers across the building management portfolio.

Product Development and Lifecycle Management

Partner with Procurement, Engineering, Program Management and other Offer Management teams to deliver class-leading, differentiated products that strengthen Schneider Electric’s fire systems offer for building management.

Maintain an outcome-oriented offer roadmap using SAFe and Agile principles, prioritized by customer value and effort. Develop clear product and feature specifications, success measures and acceptance criteria.

Develop business-case financials, including P&L, ROI and NPV, and work with Commercial teams to assess business potential and risk and guide portfolio decisions.

Manage the product lifecycle from concept and sourcing through creation, launch, evolution, maturity and withdrawal.

Drive offer optimization and rationalization across the fire systems portfolio.

Go-to-Market and Commercialization

Define reference pricing for the portfolio and work with the Category Management team to establish regional pricing. Develop strategies to expand market coverage for Schneider Electric fire systems.

Drive offer penetration through key channels, including system integrators, Schneider Electric branches, wholesalers and OEMs.

Partner with Marketing, Sales and Training teams to develop assets such as white papers, case studies and webinars. Work with global launch teams and country organisations to deliver successful product launches.

Own key decisions across the offer lifecycle and ensure alignment among relevant stakeholders. Collaborate across Logistics and Supply Chain, Industrialization, Quality and Marketing, using cross-functional problem-solving to deliver business outcomes.

Desired Skills and Competencies

At least seven years of product management experience in fire systems, building management or industrial automation, ideally including fire loop components, fire panels or fire management software. Experience working across multiple geographies or in a global role is an advantage.

Strong technical capability and experience working closely with Procurement and Engineering teams on complex, scalable systems.

Strong business acumen and the ability to consider all aspects of the business, including commercial performance, finance and supply chain.

Ability to synthesize market and customer feedback and make informed trade-offs.

Proven ability to work within large organisations and collaborate across teams and functions to achieve shared goals.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Education and Qualifications

Relevant industry and product management experience is more important than formal qualifications. The following qualifications would be advantageous.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a similar technical engineering discipline.

An MBA or equivalent management experience is an advantage. #LI-HB6

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
