Summary of Position:

Scholar Rock is seeking a Senior Director, Enterprise Business Applications to develop the IT organization’s future-state integrated team supporting enterprise functions within the company.

This leader is responsible for the strategy, governance, and operational excellence of the company's core enterprise business systems, with particular emphasis on Finance and Quality/Regulatory-adjacent platforms (Veeva). This role will establish Centers of Excellence for both Veeva and SAP and lead the company's transformation of core business processes as part of a global SAP implementation. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the enterprise systems roadmap aligns with the company's commercial launch timelines and long-term growth strategy.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a blend of strategic vision, deep functional/technical expertise, vendor and program management skill, and the ability to build governance structures from the ground up in a fast-moving environment. Scholar Rock is seeking a Senior Director, Enterprise Business Applications to lead the strategy, delivery, and ongoing evolution of the enterprise systems supporting our growing global organization.

This leader will be responsible for the strategy, governance, implementation, and operational excellence of our core enterprise business systems, with initial emphasis on SAP and Veeva. This individual will serve as a strategic technology partner to the business, translating business priorities into scalable processes, capabilities, and technology solutions as Scholar Rock expands its global commercial operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong business and technical judgment, program and vendor management expertise, and the ability to build scalable capabilities in a fast-moving, regulated environment.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a multi-year Enterprise Business Applications Roadmap across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, HR, Legal, and other functions
  • Serve as a strategic technology partner to business functions, understanding priorities and translating them into enterprise systems capabilities and roadmap priorities
  • Establish scalable governance and operating models for SAP, Veeva, and other enterprise applications, including clear ownership, decision rights, standards, and support models
  • Lead the global SAP implementation, including systems integrator selection, business process design, implementation, and ongoing optimization
  • Partner with business functions to simplify and standardize processes and ensure technology solutions support scalable ways of working
  • Oversee the configuration, integration, validation, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications
  • Ensure enterprise applications meet applicable GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, SOX, privacy, validation, and audit-readiness requirements
  • Build and lead a high-performing enterprise applications team, leveraging managed services and external partners where appropriate
  • Own enterprise application budgets and manage software vendors, systems integrators, and managed service providers
  • Drive appropriate adoption of AI, automation, and integration across enterprise business processes

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise business applications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Direct experience implementing and/or supporting SAP (S/4HANA preferred) in a life sciences environment
  • Experience with Veeva Vault applications in a regulated life sciences environment is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of Finance and enterprise business processes, including R2R, P2P, and O2C
  • Experience leading major enterprise system implementations and business transformation
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industry, particularly during a commercial launch or scaling phase
  • Strong business partnership, program management, vendor management, and executive stakeholder capabilities
