About School of Coding & AI

School of Coding & AI is a growing education provider delivering career focused programmes across Business, Computing, AI, STEM, Health and Social Care.

Established in 2017, we work with schools, colleges, universities and employers to deliver education that builds practical skills, professional confidence and strong career outcomes.

Our focus is simple: Student first, always.

About the Role

Do you enjoy organising activities, bringing people together and turning ideas into reality? We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Events Planner to help create and deliver engaging events across the School of Coding & AI.

This is an entry level opportunity to build your experience in event planning, marketing and project coordination. You'll be involved in a variety of events, from student open days and workshops to recruitment fairs, networking sessions and internal company activities.

Working alongside colleagues across the business, you'll help bring events to life, develop relationships with suppliers and partners, and ensure everything runs smoothly from the initial planning stages through to the day itself.

No previous professional event planning experience is required - just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the drive to make things happen.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and coordinate events: Support the organisation of events from initial ideas and preparation through to delivery.
  • Manage the details: Help arrange venues, catering, equipment, materials and other event requirements.
  • Build working relationships: Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, venues and external partners to keep everything on track.
  • Keep things organised: Maintain event schedules, budgets, checklists, bookings and attendance records.
  • Support promotion: Assist with invitations, guest registration, email communications and promotional content, working alongside the branding team where needed.
  • Bring events to life: Prepare event spaces, welcome attendees and provide practical support on the day.
  • Learn and improve: Gather feedback, review what worked well and help make future events even better.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in supporting events and activities. You'll be comfortable working with different people, managing multiple tasks and taking responsibility for getting things done, while brining a positive and flexible approach to the role.

If you're someone who enjoys variety, solving problems and seeing the results of your hard work, this could be a great starting point for your career.

Essential

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to take initiative and ask questions.
  • The ability to manage competing tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence working with different people, both internally and externally.
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • A flexible, positive attitude and willingness to support events outside the usual office routine when required.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting events, activities, projects or administrative tasks through work, education or volunteering.
  • An interest in events, marketing, communications or project coordination.
  • Familiarity with social media, digital design tools or event booking platforms.

Benefits

  • Salary from £25,000 to £28,000.
  • 28 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holiday.
  • Pension Scheme.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Strong CPD and development opportunities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
