About The Role

We are offering an incredible opportunity to undertake three months of work experience alongside industry professionals, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to real business projects.

This placement is ideal for someone interested in technology, artificial intelligence (AI), data management, digital transformation or business innovation who wants to develop their skills in a professional environment.

Working with an established business, you will support projects that explore how technology and digital tools can improve processes, solve business challenges and support growth. Depending on the host organisation, your responsibilities could include researching AI applications, developing digital solutions, managing data, improving business systems or supporting the implementation of new technologies.

This is an opportunity to apply your knowledge in practice, learn from experienced professionals and build the skills and confidence needed to progress towards a career in a technology-focused or digitally enabled role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support technology and digital innovation projects designed to improve business operations and efficiency.
  • Research, explore and evaluate AI tools, emerging technologies and digital solutions.
  • Assist with data management, organisation, analysis and digitalisation activities.
  • Contribute to the development, testing and implementation of digital tools, systems or technology-led projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing business processes and recommend practical solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with industry professionals and colleagues to understand business needs and achieve project objectives.
  • Conduct research into new technologies, tools and approaches relevant to the host organisation.
  • Document project progress, communicate findings and contribute to project reports and presentations.
  • Apply problem-solving, critical thinking and creativity to real-world business challenges.
  • Follow workplace procedures relating to confidentiality, data protection, information security and professional conduct.
  • Responsibilities will vary depending on the host employer, project requirements and your individual interests and skill set.

Requirements

Essential

  • A genuine interest in technology, AI, digital innovation or business improvement.
  • A willingness to learn, develop new skills and take on new challenges.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to use initiative.

Desirable

  • Recently completed, a degree in IT, Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Digital Media, Business or a related subject.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft 365, Excel, Power Automate, databases or AI applications.
  • Experience with coding, software development, data analysis, digital design or website development.
  • An interest in business process automation, digital transformation or emerging technologies.
  • Experience of personal, academic or extracurricular projects involving technology or digital tools.
  • Previous professional experience is not essential. We welcome enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn, develop their capabilities and make the most of this opportunity.
