Job Description

BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION ANALYST

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for keen, curious and motivated graduate or early career candidate to join Business Transformation Solutions (BTS) as an Analyst. You will support strategically significant projects across Public Markets, Private Assets, Wealth Management and our wider group functions. You will work closely with business stakeholders and members of the team to shape and mobilise high-impact initiatives that support Schroders’ objectives to Simplify, Scale and Deliver.

About Us

Schroders is a global investment manager which provides active asset management, wealth management and investment solutions. We aim to provide excellent investment performance to clients through active management. We serve a diverse client base that includes pension schemes, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, high net worth individuals, family offices, as well as end clients through partnerships with distributors, financial advisers, and online platforms.

Established in 1804, we have around 5,500 people across 36 global locations. Schroders' success can be attributed to its diversified business model, spanning different asset classes, client types and geographies.

The base

We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre and we have everything we need to work flexibly.

What you'll do

Schroders has launched a three-year transformation roadmap focused on returning to profitable growth through three strategic objectives: Simplify, Scale and Deliver. The programme is reshaping the firm’s operating model across Public Markets, Private Assets and Wealth Management.

As an Analyst in BTS, you will:

  • Support large, complex consulting projects and, as your experience grows, take ownership of defined deliverables.
  • Support transformation assignments across Public Markets, Private Assets, Wealth Management and wider group functions, with increasing autonomy as you progress.
  • Support the management of project plans, timelines and deliverables, helping to ensure work is completed to a high standard.
  • Contribute to analysis, research and problem-solving activities that inform insights and recommendations.
  • Help develop business cases, impact assessments, transformation roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Support business and operating model design through research, analysis and the development of supporting materials.
  • Assist with the preparation and facilitation of workshops that help stakeholders define and shape strategic initiatives.
  • Use AI tools to increase the pace, depth and quality of consulting output, keeping up to date with relevant tools and capabilities and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of AI-enabled consulting approaches by helping identify potential use cases, test new ways of working and assess their impact.
  • Build trusted and respectful working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
  • BTS project work may include:
  • Corporate Development: Integration planning, post-merger transformation, due diligence, synergy assessments and operating model design for acquired businesses.
  • Public Markets: Target operating model frameworks, foundational design documents, implementation roadmaps, governance materials and business cases.
  • Private Assets: AIFM simplification, functionalisation of acquired entities, office closure business cases and delivery approaches.
  • Wealth Management: Operational migrations, shared services and technology enablement, client onboarding, digital reporting and wealth platform transformation roadmaps.
  • AI Transformation: AI strategies and roadmaps, prioritisation of enterprise AI opportunities, process and operating model redesign, governance, workforce and adoption approaches, and benefits realisation.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • An honours degree or equivalent – we’re not fussed when it comes to your degree subject or grade
  • You will be a recent graduate or at an early stage in your career, with limited professional experience

What you’ll be like

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Inquisitive - be passionate and curious about technology & business strategy, with a willingness to learn
  • Innovative and analytical – you’re happy to think outside the box and look for a fresh perspective
  • Proactive and happy to get involved in variety of tasks and projects
  • A growth mindset: we understand you may make mistakes, and when you do, we are looking for you to learn from these.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
