Collegiate Hotel Group® is seeking a Public Areas Attendant to join Hotel 1928 and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cleans and maintains all hotel public areas, including the lobby, restrooms, elevators, stairways, hallways, and Front Desk area, to meet established quality standards.
  • Cleans public restrooms, dusts furniture and pictures, and vacuums, sweeps, and mops floors.
  • Inspects public restrooms at least once per hour to ensure they remain clean, neat, orderly, and properly stocked.
  • Removes spots, insects, debris, and other visible imperfections from public areas.
  • Cleans and polishes fixtures and maintains public areas free of rubbish and debris.
  • Empties housekeeping carts of soiled linen and disposes of trash appropriately.
  • Retrieves soiled linens from housekeeping and transports them to the laundry area.
  • Sorts linens by type and pre-treats stains as necessary.
  • Operates laundry equipment to properly wash and dry linens in accordance with established procedures.
  • Folds, stacks, organizes, and stores clean linens on designated shelving and linen carts.
  • Monitors laundry equipment for proper operation and reports maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Maintains the laundry area in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Delivers requested items to guest rooms and provides assistance with guest room cleaning as needed.
  • Greets guests in a warm, authentic, and professional manner and responds to guest needs with a service-focused attitude.
  • Assists other Housekeeping team members as needed to maintain cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel.
  • Follows all established safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and equipment operating procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Ability to operate laundry and cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ability to follow established cleaning, laundry, safety, and sanitation procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Team player with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Customer service focused.
  • Ability to exceed expectations of guests.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
