The posting

We are looking for a technically grounded and stakeholder-facing Technical Solutions Consultant to support the adoption of AI platforms across government agencies. You will work closely with agencies, Product Managers, Solution Architects and technical teams to understand business challenges, identify suitable AI use cases and translate requirements into practical technology solutions.

  • Salary Package: Up to $10,000 (basic) + AWS
  • Job Type: Contract

The role combines business analysis, technical solutioning and consultative pre-sales engagement, with opportunities to conduct product demonstrations, support Proof of Concepts (POCs) and facilitate agency onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery sessions and workshops with stakeholders to understand business requirements, existing processes, operational challenges and potential AI use cases.
  • Analyse business workflows and translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria and solution proposals.
  • Assess AI use cases for feasibility, business value, platform suitability, data readiness and implementation considerations.
  • Work with Product Managers, Solution Architects and technical teams to propose suitable AI solutions based on business requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored technical presentations, product demonstrations and solution walkthroughs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support Proof of Concepts (POCs), including defining scope, requirements, success criteria and coordinating with relevant technical teams.
  • Explain AI platform capabilities, limitations, system integrations and technical considerations to help agencies evaluate potential solutions.
  • Conduct hands-on product training and onboarding sessions for agencies and vendors.
  • Facilitate solution handovers to delivery and support teams, ensuring requirements, dependencies and implementation considerations are clearly documented.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback, identify product enhancement opportunities and provide insights to support product roadmap and adoption initiatives.

Requirements

  • Preferably 5 years of relevant experience in IT Business Analysis, Technical Pre-Sales, Solution Consulting, Product Consulting or a customer-facing technical role.
  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience in application solution design, testing or participation in at least one full software development lifecycle (SDLC), preferably within an Agile environment.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, system integrations, data flows and cloud-based technologies.
  • Foundational understanding of Generative AI technologies, particularly text-based GenAI, including their capabilities, limitations and practical applications.
  • Familiarity with technical pre-sales activities such as solution discovery, requirements qualification, product demonstrations, presentations and POC coordination.
  • Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
  • Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive, adaptable and resourceful, with an interest in exploring emerging AI technologies and solutions.

Good to Have

  • Experience implementing or supporting AI/GenAI-enabled solutions.
  • Hands-on experience preparing technical demonstrations, prototypes or Proofs of Concepts (POCs).
  • Previous software development, application engineering or technology consulting experience.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, data analytics, CRM, knowledge management or service design.
  • Familiarity with authentication, access controls, cybersecurity and data protection considerations.
  • Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP or equivalent.
