Assistant Fund Manager – Multi-Asset PMS

## Job Summary The Assistant Fund Manager supports the investments team in optimizing and managing portfolios under the Infinity division. Operating under the governance of the Investment Committee, this role is crucial for executing investment strategies for both discretionary and non-discretionary clients. The ideal candidate is responsible for the complete operational trade workflow, ensuring strict compliance with SEBI regulations, performing advanced risk analytics, and conducting formal client portfolio reviews.

## Responsibilities - Portfolio Analytics & Risk Management - Track the performance of model and client portfolios, ensuring alignment. - Calculate and monitor key portfolio risk statistics including Value at Risk (VaR), Sharpe ratio, and others. - Perform regular historical and scenario stress-testing exercises for portfolio resilience. - Conduct performance attribution analysis to identify alpha generation sources.

  • Investment Committee Governance
  • Prepare data for the Investment Committee on portfolio asset allocation and performance.
  • Ensure all portfolio allocations and security selections adhere to approved frameworks and risk boundaries.
  • Track and report portfolio deviations and adjustments.
  • Document the communication flow and official Minutes of the Meeting for regulatory purposes.
  • Client Relationship Management & Portfolio Reviews
  • Conduct regular performance review meetings with clients alongside the sales team.
  • Clearly articulate portfolio performance, strategies, and market outlooks to clients.
  • Review client investment mandates periodically in alignment with their risk profiles.
  • Portfolio Management & Operations
  • Oversee end-to-end investment execution through institutional brokers for both DPMS and NDPMS trades.
  • Manage workflows for discretionary and non-discretionary accounts.
  • Generate model portfolio buy/sell tranches and manage operational tasks like dividends and client instructions.
  • Investment Research & Asset Allocation
  • Conduct fundamental research on various asset classes, including Indian equities and commodities.
  • Monitor macroeconomic factors affecting Indian asset classes.
  • Coordinate with teams within the organization specializing in relevant instruments.
  • Regulatory Oversight, MIS & Compliance
  • Monitor daily portfolio limits and making sure they comply with SEBI regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly Management Information Systems (MIS) reports.
  • Maintain accurate data for compliance, reporting, and disclosure documents.

## Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in finance, economics, or CA/CFA. - Certifications: Mandatory NISM Series XXI-B (Portfolio Manager Certification). - Experience: 6 to 9 years in Indian capital markets, preferably within a SEBI-registered PMS, Mutual Funds, or Alternative Investment Fund (AIF). - Soft Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills. - Technical Skills: Proficient with Bloomberg/Reuters terminals, PMS accounting software (e.g., WealthSpectrum, Miles), and advanced Excel.

## Preferred Skills - Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance considerations in asset management. - Experience in managing institutional client portfolios.

## Experience - 6 to 9 years of relevant experience in Indian capital markets with a proven track record in client-facing roles.
