Finance Manager

## Company Overview A well-established, self-funded manufacturing business specializing in innovative packaging solutions, based in Navi Mumbai with a manufacturing setup in Thane. The company has been operating for approximately 10 years, serving large e-commerce and consumer brands such as Amazon, Flipkart, Nike, and Decathlon. The organization is profitable, with a revenue of around ₹50–60 crore, and is known for its patented Hex Crush packaging product. The company is currently bootstrapped, with potential future investment opportunities, and aims to scale significantly in the coming years.

## Job Summary The Finance Manager will serve as the key financial leader within the organization, acting as the first layer of ownership between the founder and the finance team. The role involves managing the finance and accounting functions, ensuring accurate data entry, overseeing MIS and reporting, and bringing discipline and structure to the finance processes. The candidate will work closely with the founder, contribute to strategic financial understanding, and eventually help build and scale the finance function as the company grows.

## Responsibilities - Manage and oversee a 5-member finance and accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and reporting. - Own the Management Information System (MIS) and prepare basic financial reports to support business decision-making. - Develop a deep understanding of business numbers, asking relevant questions to improve financial insights. - Implement discipline and structure within the finance function, reviewing team work and optimizing processes. - Act as the finance counterpart to the founder at a basic/mid-management level, providing insights and support. - Contribute to building the finance function from the ground up as the company scales, including process improvements and team development.

## Qualifications - 5–6 years of post-qualification experience in finance or accounting. - Strong audit experience is essential. - Prior experience handling finance functions within a company, preferably in a manufacturing or business environment. - Exposure to team management and leadership. - Educational qualification: CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent. - Proficiency in accounting software and MIS tools. - Good understanding of financial statements, data analysis, and reporting. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with leadership.

## Preferred Skills - Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setup. - Ability to work in a lean, dynamic environment. - Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach. - Flexibility and willingness to work beyond regular hours, including weekends if necessary. - Comfort working directly with the founder and in a non-hierarchical, collaborative environment.

## Experience - 5–6 years of relevant experience, including audit and finance management roles. - Experience in a manufacturing or business environment is preferred. - Exposure to team management and process improvement initiatives.

## Environment - Work from the office in Navi Mumbai or Thane. - The role involves working in a manufacturing setup with a lean organizational structure. - The environment is dynamic, requiring flexibility, attention to detail, and a proactive approach. - The candidate should be comfortable working closely with the founder and managing a small team.
