Founding Engineer

## Company Overview Kutlerri.ai is an innovative startup focused on building AI agents for the restaurant industry. The company’s mission is to help restaurant operators grow revenue and reduce operational costs through AI-powered solutions. Their first product, the Catering Sales Agent, is already live with US restaurant operators, enabling them to capture missed catering opportunities, respond faster to inquiries, automate follow-ups, and convert one-time orders into repeat business. The company is committed to creating impactful products that directly influence key business metrics.

## Job Summary As a Founding Engineer at Kutlerri.ai, you will take ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from designing systems and writing code to deploying features and observing real-world usage. You will work closely with the founding team to develop AI-driven products that address genuine operational challenges faced by restaurant operators. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the technical foundation of the company’s innovative solutions, working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on ownership, speed, and impact.

## Responsibilities - Full-Stack Product Development: Build customer-facing applications for restaurant operators, developing scalable frontend and backend systems. Own features end-to-end, from database schema design to user experience. - AI Agents & LLM Systems: Develop and enhance AI agents utilizing Large Language Model (LLM) technologies. Design prompts, tool usage, memory systems, and workflows for AI agents. Implement guardrails and evaluation frameworks to ensure reliability. - Integrations & Infrastructure: Build integrations with third-party platforms such as POS systems, email tools, phones, and calendars. Handle complex APIs and external data sources, creating clean internal systems from messy external data. - Production Engineering: Ship features rapidly, monitor applications, debug issues, and improve system reliability. Build systems optimized for real-world customer environments. - Technical Ownership: Take responsibility for technical decisions, system architecture, and ensuring the scalability and robustness of the products.

## Qualifications - 1–3 years of experience building production software. - Strong full-stack engineering skills with experience in modern frontend and backend technologies. - Proven experience shipping products used by real users. - Deep understanding of APIs, databases, and system design principles. - Hands-on experience working with LLMs beyond basic API usage, including prompt engineering, AI workflows, tool calling, or agent systems. - Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive projects forward. - Educational qualifications such as a BTech, BSc, MSc, or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields.

## Preferred Skills - Experience building AI agents or automation workflows. - Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex. - Experience with SaaS or B2B products. - Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, Azure). - Knowledge of data pipelines and analytics systems. - Startup or 0-to-1 product development experience.

## Experience - 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in software development, particularly in building scalable, production-grade applications. - Experience working in fast-paced startup environments or on early-stage product development is a plus.

## Environment - The role is based in Bhubaneswar, India, with a focus on building products for the US market. - The work environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and ownership-driven. - The position involves working on complex technical challenges, including integrations with external systems and AI workflows. - The role may involve hybrid or remote work arrangements, depending on company policies.

## Salary - Not specified; competitive compensation for an early-stage startup.

## GrowthOpportunities - Opportunity to work directly with the founding team and influence product architecture. - Potential to grow into senior technical or leadership roles as the company scales. - Involvement in cutting-edge AI product development for the restaurant industry.

## Benefits - Direct impact on product development and company growth. - Ownership of technical decisions and architecture. - Opportunity to work on real AI products used by US customers. - Fast-paced environment with immediate customer feedback. - Competitive compensation package.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
