Job Summary

The Investment Sourcing and Deal Support Associate will play a vital role in supporting the deal origination process by sourcing potential investment opportunities, conducting initial deal filtration, building relationships with key industry players, and assisting with research and due diligence. This position contributes to the organization’s strategic investment activities by ensuring a steady pipeline of quality deal flow and facilitating smooth execution of transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Support in sourcing potential deals by following up with private equity funds, investment banks, and other financial institutions on new ideas and opportunities.
  • Track and monitor deal ideas internally, providing support to sector teams as required.
  • Identify emerging trends and track deal activity across various sectors to inform investment decisions.
  • Assist in the initial filtration of deals by gathering relevant data and conducting first-level assessments.
  • Build and maintain relationships at junior and mid-levels with professionals across investment banks, private equity, and venture capital funds.
  • Support research and due diligence processes for potential investments.
  • Assist in the execution of deals, providing support throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in deal sourcing, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with above-average intelligence.
  • High level of awareness of market trends and curiosity about industry developments.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Perseverance and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to hustle and make things happen.
