Logistics & Warehouse Lead

Job Summary

The Logistics & Warehouse Lead will play a crucial role in supporting end-to-end supply chain operations for the new men's personal care brand. This position is critical to ensuring the effective execution of logistics and warehouse operations, focusing on delivering products on time and in full (OTIF). The successful candidate will help drive efficiency and service levels across various channels, including direct-to-consumer (D2C), quick commerce, modern trade, and general trade.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, storage, dispatch, and inventory control.
  • Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely deliveries and optimal transportation efficiency.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) partners, transporters, and warehouse service providers to meet service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through regular stock reconciliations, cycle counts, and audits.
  • Drive OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance and improve order fulfillment efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate processing of goods receipt notes (GRNs), put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, storage utilization, and material handling processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Procurement, Planning, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
  • Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity, dispatch turnaround time, fill rate, and transportation performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory guidelines within warehouse operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage warehouse and logistics teams to drive operational excellence.
  • Handle escalations related to deliveries, inventory discrepancies, and warehouse operations.
  • Support ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) implementation and process automation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: 6–10 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations within FMCG, Consumer Goods, Retail, D2C, or E-commerce.
  • Strong experience managing warehouses, inventory, and transportation operations.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive process improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and team leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in a startup or rapidly growing company.
  • Familiarity with modern trade and quick commerce logistics.

Experience

6–10 years of relevant experience, specifically within the FMCG, Consumer Goods, Retail, D2C, or E-commerce sectors.

Environment

This position is based in Mumbai, Worli, and is expected to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment typical of a startup in the consumer goods sector.
