## Job Summary The Payroll Governance Specialist is responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and corporate policies, and maintaining governance standards to streamline payroll operations within the organization. This role is crucial in supporting the organization’s objectives by ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery.

## Responsibilities - Oversee the payroll processing cycle, ensuring accuracy in compensation and deductions. - Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and laws at local, state, and federal levels to mitigate risks associated with payroll operations. - Implement and maintain governance frameworks to ensure consistency and integrity in payroll practices. - Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies effectively. - Conduct regular audits of payroll data and procedures to identify areas for improvement and enhance operational efficiency. - Provide training and support for payroll systems and processes to new employees and existing staff.

## Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. - Extensive knowledge of payroll processes and compliance regulations. - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate payroll management. - Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders. - Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under tight deadlines. - Knowledge of labor laws and regulations impacting payroll operations.

## Preferred Skills - Certification in Payroll (e.g., CPP, FPC) is preferred but not mandatory. - Experience with payroll automation tools or software implementation.

## Experience - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll management or related roles.
