Job Title: Production Head, India Supply Chain Location: Mumbai (Bhiwandi), Maharashtra (6-days WFO) About NewMe NewMe is a GenZ-focused fashion brand reimagining how young India discovers and experiences style. We’re building one of India’s most dynamic, data-driven, and fast-moving fashion ecosystems, where trend meets tech, and ideas turn into real collections at lightning speed. Role Overview As the Production Head at NewMe, you will be the driving force behind transforming our fast-fashion designs into high-quality, market-ready products. This is a high-impact leadership role within a rapidly scaling brand where speed-to-market and manufacturing excellence are our competitive advantages. You will oversee the end-to-end production lifecycle, ensuring that every garment meets our rigorous standards for quality, cost, and timelines. You will lead a team of production managers, working closely with the design, QC and sourcing teams to navigate the complexities of a fast-fashion supply chain. Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Execution: Direct all manufacturing activities to ensure production targets are met on time. Manage the production calendar to support frequent collection drops and rapid replenishment cycles. Vendor Management: Identify, onboard, and manage a robust network of manufacturing partners (Job Workers). Build long-term strategic relationships with factories to ensure priority and scalability. Cost Optimization: Drive efficiency in the production process to optimize COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) without compromising on quality or ethical standards. Process Innovation: Continuously refine production workflows, focusing on reducing lead times (TAT) and improving flexibility within the manufacturing pipeline. Team Leadership: Mentor and manage a high-performing production team, fostering a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement. In-house capacity building: While managing the overall output and production; also lead the development of inhouse factory capabilities to reduce dependence on job-workers What We’re Looking For Experience: 5+ years of experience in apparel production management, preferably within the fast-fashion or high-growth D2C retail sector. Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of garment construction, manufacturing techniques, fabric behavior, and global quality standards (AQL). Agile Mindset: Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment where priorities can shift rapidly based on market trends. Leadership Skills: Strong experience in managing large teams and coordinating across cross-functional departments like Design, Sourcing, and Logistics. Education: A degree in Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or post-graduate degree in Operations is a significant plus.
