Quality Control Head – Fans

## Job Summary The Quality Control Head – Fans will oversee and manage the quality assurance processes across the entire lifecycle of fan products, from raw material inspection to finished goods and after-sales service. The role aims to establish and maintain high-quality standards, identify and resolve product defects, and ensure consistent product performance and reliability. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, reducing defects, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

## Responsibilities - Oversee incoming raw material and component quality by establishing inspection procedures, quality parameters, acceptance criteria, and sampling plans. Ensure components meet technical specifications and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers. - Monitor process quality control during manufacturing and assembly, implementing checkpoints to identify defects early, ensuring adherence to SOPs, and investigating recurring production issues. - Lead finished goods quality control by conducting final inspections, testing for electrical, mechanical, and operational performance, and ensuring only compliant products are dispatched. - Coordinate after-sales service and field-quality issues by analyzing customer complaints, identifying root causes, and working with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive measures. - Maintain detailed quality documentation including inspection reports, rejection records, and quality metrics to support continuous improvement. - Drive quality improvement initiatives to reduce rejection rates, field failures, and customer complaints, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.

## Qualifications - Educational Qualifications: BTech, BSc, or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering disciplines. - Technical Skills: - Hands-on experience in Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance within fan manufacturing or electrical consumer durables. - Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems, inspection processes, defect analysis, and corrective/preventive actions. - Proficiency in root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, and CAPA. - Knowledge of statistical quality techniques and quality audit processes. - Familiarity with electrical and mechanical components used in fan manufacturing. - Experience in supplier quality management and process standardization. - Ability to interpret technical specifications and quality standards. - Excellent documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

## Preferred Skills - Experience with BLDC fans and/or conventional ceiling fans. - Knowledge of electrical and mechanical components specific to fan manufacturing. - Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies and quality tools. - Proficiency in Tamil language is an added advantage but not mandatory.

## Experience - Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within the electrical or consumer durables industry. - Proven track record of managing multiple stages of quality processes, from raw materials to finished products and after-sales.

## Environment - The role is based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, with a six-day workweek. - The work environment involves in-office activities, manufacturing plant oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. - The position requires active engagement with suppliers, production teams, and after-sales service units to ensure quality standards are met.
